Can someone explain the wine package for the 7 night cruise? Do you get a different bottle each night? What if you don't finish them all? Can you take them to your stateroom for later in the evening?

Thanks,
Wendy

You get a list of choices, either from the classic (least expensive) or premium (more expensive), depending on which package you choose. You can pick a different bottle every night, or if you like one, you can get two bottles of the same. You can take your wine to your stateroom if you choose after dinner, or your waitstaff will keep the bottle for you and have it waiting for you the next evening. It is very flexible....if you want white, DH wants red, each can choose their own and assuming you don't finish a whole bottle on your own at dinner :D , they will hold both bottles for the next evening.

If you have remaining bottles at the end of your cruise, you can take them home (unopened, of course) and enjoy them at home, remembering the fun from your cruise!

If you would like to see offerings from each package, I think you can find them at www.dcltribute.com, and click on the "Platnuim" link located torwards the bottom left of the home page!

We have done the wine package on both cruises and have never been disappointed with the selection. We thoroughly enjoy the Iron Horse champagne. It is made especially for Disney and cannot be purchased elsewhere.

:D I was able to upgrade to more expensive wines and just paid the difference (cost minus average cost per bottle for your package per day). We also did not open a new bottle one or two nights and our assistant server told me I could take a bottle/bottles home (which would be more costly than what you could buy back home) or again upgrade to a more expensive bottle. Our assistant server made these suggestions (Michael from France).

The wine tasting party is also a lot of fun.

When we were at Palo, they recommended upgrading to any bottle of wine on the wine list there, just pay the difference from what the wine on the package is worth.

Also one more note on how flexible they were with the package....We purchased the wine package on the first of two cruises done back to back and they allowed us to transfer the two bottles we had left from cruise 1 to the second. Our head waiter (who was the same for both cruises) just notified our waiters on #2 (not the same) that we had two bottles remaining and they brought them to us at our request at dinner, no problems.

If you enjoy wine, it is the way to go!
