I found menus at allearsnet and other places but never see the wine menus. Are they posted anywhere?

I have never seen the wine lists printed anywhere and I have looked. They obviously change regularly. I can tell you they are very expensive and would suggest bringing your own and paying the $20-$25 corkage if it is allowed. CG does not allow corkage.

We've found that if you are going for the lowest end most bottles are around $30 at least. I think Kenwood Zin was $32 last time I went there. They then range upwards anywhere to bottles Ive seen for $100.

By the glass prices are pretty steep also--$10-12-15 dollars on the average at the signature restaurants..

Thanks for the responses. I'm not really focusing on the costs as much as which wines. I have an upcoming business trip and will be traveling with a fellow wine snob-wannabe!

We are making ADRs and the wine list is one of the influencer! We are going with Blue Zoo, Jiko and Cali Grill this trip.

At Jiko, I highly recommend the Cedarburg cabernet sauvignon... dh and I love that one. On our first trip there, we tried to let the server know what sort of wines we were interested in, and our price range, and he brought out 3 little tastes for us and then we picked the one we liked out of them. Very helpful!!

They change the wine lists so frequently which is why they don't post. California Grill has terrific wines- if you like CA wines. IF you are looking for French the selection is limited to a few bottles if any, but that being said what they have is great. They usually have my split of Opus which is a great way to ease into the middle of the meal. They also have dolce for dessert which is another treat for us!
Jiko's wines tend to be more african (obviously) in spirit so that's something to keep in mind.
While I have never eaten at Blue Zoo- we frequent quite a few of the Todd English restauarants and he always has a nice selection of wines for anyone who enjoys. I can't imagine this being an exception.

We will be visiting Jiko for the first time this Sept. and I can't wait to try the South African red wines. We have tried several at home, like Bored Doe and Goats do Roam and they are great.

I did see wine lists on some of the menus listed on this sight, but am not sure about the restaurants you listed above. I have rarely seen wine lists at Allearsnet. com.

Those 3 restaurants are very good as far as wines are concerned--I doubt you'll have any trouble finding something you like. The wine lists at Jiko and CG are printed on paper and they will be happy to give you a copy if you ask.

I'm also a wine drinker... wonder what our wine options might be as well. As of now, I know we will be making ADRs at Victoria & Albert's and Le Cellier... not sure about the rest of our nights though... Any insight into their wine lists?

V&A's is "extensive". NOT printed on paper!! Actually a small book as I recall. Of course, we always do the wine pairings there..

Someone mentioned if I asked they'd print out a menu for me. It reminded me, last year we were at Jiko and had an amazing wine, Anura Syrah Mourvedre Reserve, Paarl '03. I called and they emailed me their list. If anyone wants the Jiko wine list from 3/07 PM me and I'll email you the xls file.

I still have dreams about that wine. I'm in PA so its not easy to get special wines. The lady at Jiko also sent me their supplier info however I'd have to buy a full case and have it shipped to an out of state address since you can't ship wine into PA.

As a fellow wine-snob, you will not be disappointed with the wine list at Blue Zoo or Cali Grill. Haven't made it to Jiko yet (my family loves Boma) but I did have a decent bottle at Boma.

FYI - Citricos and Artist Point both have a nice selection too!

Jiko's wines tend to be more african (obviously) in spirit so that's something to keep in mind.

Not only do the wines on Jiko's wine list "tend to be more African in spirit", but the wine list is composed solely of wines from South Africa.

Good to know- i wasn't sure if that was the case all the time! (the south african list that is)
