Any chance you know what the prices on these were? Because....I love mini backpacks, but I only ever use them when I go to Disney.

Friend is there now, waiting for their group to be called. Reports that it’s a fiasco: tons of people standing around, blocking entrance for bib pickup. CMs are not happy.

Another acquaintance had their group called… and found that there’s a long LINE to stand in once called.

Explain to me how this is better, please?

Yeah, when I saw people's estimated return times this morning on FB (at 7:35 when they started talking about it) were BEFORE club-access was officially over I KNEW this would be an issue. The ONLY thing it changed is how many CMs they need to have on hand before 7am to work the lines, and THAT'S for the clubrundisney people who wanted to be in the front of their line.

Holy God, the bib pickup line is insane! I guess this is what happens when all these people aren't waiting in the merch line.

As predicted. People don't want to waste their day having to catch transportation more than once for the VQ, so they'll just go whenever and hang out.

Please, please, please let them not use this for MW.

Update they had a VQ help tent sister added to merch queue

Took 15 mins between getting in line for bib building and being next in line for 5k bib pick up (still need to wait for 10k

The Dooneys were displayed in a case and distributed behind a counter, so I have no idea. Didn't think to even check the Loungefly W&D specific ones. Doh! Sorry!

I saw elsewhere that someone said the Loungefly were going for $75 (same as in-park prices) and if that follows for the Dooneys they should be around $260 (if they are the same as on shopdisney.) They're listed for around $360 on ebay already.

The “new” character is Mira Royal Detective from Disney Junior who has no ties to theme of race whatsoever

Genie is the other line

got pins/ magnet for both distances… don’t like that they have completely phased out tervis in favor of corksicle but did get the weekend shirt/headband

They were $75. Thankfully I didn't like them as much in person as the photo.

We were group 30, got in around 11:00. Waited another probably 10-15 minutes in the que line. I bought an every mile is magic shirt. I did get my shoe ornament and a magnet. I thought the merch was super disappointing. Spent way more at the expo and like what I got there. We arrived at 10:00, went straight to get our bibs and were in and out in a few minutes. Went and picked up shirts, looked a little at the expo, then went to look at the merch. Went back to the expo and bought quite a bit. Left at 1:30. Honestly, I didn’t hate the virtual que, but I’m on property and I could see how it would be a nightmare for someone else.

I can confirm this, had group 32 with an original estimated call of 1007 which I knew would be a little off but ended up getting called at 1105 and was met with a 20 minute wait in the room of woe.
got to the expo at 930, had bib and shirts by 10 but didn’t get out until 1150. Definitely a failed experiment, anyone trying to plan their day around the callback is going to be upset

I'm heading to airport soon.... landing at 9pm to getting to expo tomorrow. If anyone notices any merch sold out, let me know. Really hoping for car magnets (10k, HM and challenge) and ornament!

Also, I know it's hard to predict because of VQ today, but if we wanted to get our numbers, shirts and some merch as early as possible tomorrow, what time should we arrive (opens at 11am tomorrow - which is eating into my park time! Although my family is not complaining about a forced relaxed pool morning).

I was called around 1:30. I looked for the ornaments but I never found them.

There seemed to be plenty of magnets left, I wouldn't be worried for tomorrow. Same for the rest of the merch. There were plenty sizes left in each shirt, etc. even the glittery spirit jersey.

So can someone confirm staying at Boardwalk will be an easy drive for the 10K? looks like Buena Vista to World drive to Epcot to get there and Epcot to Backstage south to Buena Vista to return. Not so sure about the half, thinking I’ll use the bus

I typically drive from the Bonnet Creek area and can confirm that Buena Vista to World Dr to EP is a breeze - just leave early. More important to leave early for the half. I generally aim to be walking out my door 15 mins after race buses start running And have never hit any traffic.

Getting out after the races is equally easy, but if you’re a fast finisher you may have a delay as they reopen roads. I’ve never encountered that because I am not fast, but I have seen cars lined up waiting to get out while I’ve still been running lol!
