Windsor Palms-VRBO/Finest Disney Homes

I have done a search on these condos & they seem very nice. I found a listing on the vrbo.com for a 2br condo & when they replied I found out it was actually through Finest Disney Homes. Has anyone rented thru them? Are they reputable. Also if anyone has stayed in a 2 or 3 br & received a great rate let me know where. We have been quoted $63/night for 2 br for May 3-12. Sounds great to me! Just need to know I'm dealing with someone reputable.

We own a 3 BR in Windsor Palms. I have not heard of Finest. Almost all the condos and homes are privately owned, but some folks have management companies market them. Rates depend on many things, the location and size of the unit and how they are outfitted. So all 2 & 3 BR units are not the same. Be careful to compare. Also you will need to add 12% Florida Taxes. Have a wonderful time

I am in Windsor Palms right now actually....and it is AMAZING!!!!! Less than a 10 min drive from the parks, 2mins off 192. The club house and pool area are amazing. We rented it thru Simon at www.closesttodisney.com we have a 3 BR condo that is beautiful and well equipped with 2 bathrooms. We paid $64/nt plus tax and we are here for 9nts.

We are a group of 9 Canadians planning a trip to Orlando and we are interested in renting a home close to Disney and Windsor Palms sounds so convenient and close - where do I start my search? I am really hesitant to deal with the hundreds of companies to rent a place as it sounds like it is better to deal direct with the owners. I understand that there are some owners who contribute to this forum. I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

You might want to check out the website www.vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner). They have a huge selection of homes offered in many sizes (we rented a 4 bdrm/2 bth villa for 8 of us - 2 families which suited us fine). They list everything from condos to houses with 6-7 bedrooms! And it was a pleasure to deal directly with the owner. Good luck on your search!

Hi Karenvicki - thanks so much for your reply, I had just found the site and I have been sifting through the thousands of homes - I just wish they had a better search set up to eliminate going through all those postings. Anyhow, I'm sure we will find something - thanks again!

SonyaB -- I have just used orlandovillas.com to rent a 6 bdrm 3.5 bath home w/pool in Emerald Island. Their search engine was very good and the owners were very responsive and helpful. I can't vouch for them because I have yet to stay there but the pictures look wonderful.

I also used www.orlandovillas.com and found a great house, the search engine there is great as auntierd suggested. I got a 4 bedroom 3 bath house for $85 USD/night including taxes - sleeps up to 10 people. I'll tell you all about it when I get back!

I can strongly recommend VillaDirect.com . We rent through them every year, get a brand new 4BR home 3 minutes to Disney with private pool, big screen TV, video games and videos for the kids, fabulous furnishings, etc. The house we rent is the Sunshine Bay Villa in Oak Island Cove (right next to Windsor Palms). It's also right near a large grocery store, tons of restaurants, etc.

I can also recommend AllStar Vacation Homes . They are located right near Windsor Palms, Oak Island Cove, etc and have wonderful properties.

I'm always hesitant to rent through VRBO. Renting by owner can work great, or you can be totally ripped off. I like the protection of dealing with a company that's very near the house. Both of the companies I mentioned were VERY responsive to all of our needs and are very customer service oriented.

I know one thing - with two kids I'll never stay in a hotel room again. Houses are the way to go!
