Windsor Hills vs Bonnet Creek

We are planning a trip from 11/30/13-12/7/13. We currently have a reservation for a 2B at Windsor Hills. After reading about Bonnet Creek on the dis, I decided to look into at 2B there. I like the idea of being closer, but Bonnet Creek would be $180 more for the week than our condo at Windsor Hills. Should we just save the $180 and stay at Windsor Hills or is there enough difference in drive time, amenities, etc. to be worth the extra for Bonnet Creek? We have not stayed at either property. It is definitely not worth $180 for 'closer.' Just make sure to learn the shortcut (Sherbeth road? Sherburn road? I'm drawing a blank but whoever you are renting from will know it) and you can be from WH to the parking lot at AK in 5 minutes.
Now, if you wanted the more 'resort type' feel that WBC offers (lazy rivers and more than one pool as opposed to just one pool) or the shuttle access (I don't recall off the top of my head if WBC has its own shuttles or it's just walking distance to the Disney ones) that might be a reason. But when staying at WH "It's too far away" is definitely not a concern.

Thanks for the tip on the shortcut! I will look into that.

We are not really pool people and with the variable weather that time of year I don't think the pool matters much in the decision. Even in May we usually only swim a couple of times.

To me Bonnet Creek has more of a resort kind of feel. Windsor Hills is more of your own house/more privacy kind of place.

If I was going to do a Condo, I'd probably choose Bonnet Creek for the transportation and to be closer. If I wanted more space and the private pool, I love those Windsor Hills houses.

I've stayed @ Bonnet Creek once and Windsor Hills 3 times. Both places are quite handy. I agree with the above poster that BC has a more "resort like" feel; but the pool at WH is nice, too. I'd go with the less expensive option myself.

I switched from BC to WH for more privacy and when they added the charge per person for each day you used the shuttle. We are paying a little more but my husband wanted to spend a little more for a house.

Thanks for the advice! I think we will stick with Windsor Hills and save the money to put towards tickets for MVMCP.
