why can't I find a "main" site for them?
are they related?
do they share amenities?

:P Help please! :p

WH and WP were built by the same builder so they are related in that way but they don't share amenities. They are not side by side, maybe a couple of miles between and on different roads. This map will show you where they are. On the map they are each by the Ws of their names.

WH is a little newer than WP with a bigger community pool with zero entry and waterslide. WH is a little closer to Disney than WP but we're only talking 2 or 3 minutes difference.
The main site for WH is http://www.windsorhillsrent.com/ and click on the resort. This is where the owners advertize their properties. They both also use other sites as well like vrbo.com homeaway.com fabvillas.com
This for Windsor Palms

We've stayed at WH twice and really like it, going back again in Nov.

Windsor Palms also has the added benefit of be located adjacent to a sewage treatment plant:sad2:
There is a thread called Windsor Palms and that bad smell with the details:rotfl:

PM if you have questions : )

We own a home on Windsor Palms and none of our guests have ever mentioned any odor. (and we ask all our guests for feedback). We have only noticed it once (barely) and that was when the water treatment plant was being moved /worked on because of the new beltway construction. That construction was completed a long time ago and, as far as I am aware, there are no longer any issues.

Why are people perpetuating mis-information?

Kay,
I'm sorry, but the smell is not a misconception. I stayed at a house located in the cul-de-sac at the back Windsor Palms (in a property adjacent to the plant) during Spring Break 2007. Too bad for us that the wind blew from the east the entire time we were there and on Thursday of that week especially, it really stunk. I posted about the problem back when it happened and I took pains to point out that there didn't seem to be any smell closer to the "front" by the clubhouse, but back by the house we had several days of VERY strong odor.

In fact, the property manager for Windsor Palms actually posted a reply indicating that they were aware of the problem and had been taking steps, but the reality is that it's a sewage plant and occasionally it's gonna stink.

For what it's worth.

Lisa
