Windsor Hills in October

Ok...I have been researching what seems like 100's of condos and townhouses in Windsor Hills. We are more than likely going in October but I still have to wait for my school calendar for next yr to come out.

My question is......how hard do you think it would be to find one of these in say August for October or maybe even July?

I would think that's a slower time but again, I don't know.

Any thoughts?

BTW...I do have a hotel booked just in case :).

Actually, October is a pretty busy time for Windsor Hills. Lots of UK folks take their vacations in October and often book 2 plus weeks. Also, all the Halloween festivities at Disney World draw and Universal draw lots. Go through and look at calendars of specific homes, and you'll see lots have bookings already. So, as soon as you know the dates, IMHO, I would book.

Sandy

Thanks for the info, that is just what I needed. I guess I'm going to have to narrow it down or I'll be stuck in the hotel. I didn't even think about UK people then I just know that when we went to Disney in October it wasn't very crowded and prices were lower. I would rather get what I want now then have to settle later :).

There's still lots of availability in October with the group we choose to work with at Windsor Hills...
Their prices are hard to beat from my experience and they will give you your entire deposit back if you need to cancel before 60 days out.

Thanks for the info....I actually just booked with them today! I really liked their rental policy and had seen many good things about them. We can't WAIT to go...October is a LONG time away

Do you have to rent from Sat-Sat with them or will they let you rent, let's say, from Thursday-Tuesday. I am going with DD for a Mother/Daughter Birthday trip and that is the time we can go in October/November. Thanks for any info. in advance! :)

It's strictly Sat - Sat with them but there are lots of places that rent without restrictions on arrival and departure days.

Yep...I can definitely say it's still Sat-Sat and agree there are plenty of good ones out there that do not do that. Some of the others I was looking at were thrugh floridasunvacations (I think that's it) but....noticed when I sent inquiries through Windsorhillsrent.com that I received lower quotes from the actual owners of same of the same units on floridasun's website.......bypassing the management co. I guess.

Thanks for the info. Wanda and Softballmom! :)

Wanda, have you ever stayed in the condos at Windsor Hills? I only need a 2 bedroom, since it will be just DD and me. Do you have any recommendations on who to go with. It's beyond me how many of them there are! Wow!!

No, not a condo. Stayed in a couple of townhouses and a couple of six bedroom homes. There are lots to choose from and it can seem daunting at times. Just pick out a few you like and contact owners. You can verify ownership when you know their names. You can ask on here if anyone has stayed at a specific property.

Don't restrict yourself to just the 2-bedroom condos because there aren't as many of them as there are 3 bedrooms, and I've found the 2 & 3 bedrooms to be the same price. :goodvibes

Thank you for the info. Mareed! I will broaden my search for larger units as well!

I just yesterday booked a condo (pool view) for 11 days in July.
$105/nite for 3BR/2BA (+taxes) through MagicalVacationHomes.com

There are a TON of openings in July.
We were originally going to go with a non-pool view 3BR/2BA unit for 10 days at a rate of $100/day (which includes taxes), but we decided to spend the extra money for the view. I found that on VRBO.com. Lots of July openings and lots of units.

When I called the Windsor Hills office (407-288-5283) I talked to someone named Kathleen. She offered a 3BR/2BA unit for $95/nite (includes taxes and cleaning). Also lots of July openings.

April is full. June looked 75% full. But there seemed to be a lot of openings for July. And most places do NOT restrict you to sat-sat stays.

I just booked our Mother/Daughter trip for October with Magical Vacation Homes! We'll have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo for 6 nights.

Just wanted to say that our trip is coming up rather quickly. I can't believe how fast summer just flew by! Before we know it, I'll be in Florida with DD!!! Cannot wait!!
