Has anyone stayed on Fitzclarence street in the townhome section? I'm interested in a townhome that is an end unit on this street. I'm a little concerned that with the splash pool backing up to what looks to be the main street into the resort, we'll be bothered by a lot of noise and not sure I like the lack of privacy. This will be the first time we are staying at this resort so I'm just going off the maps I found online. Our second choice is a middle unit that backs up to the golf course. Complete privacy it would appear, but a long walk to the pool/playground. If you've stayed at the edge of the property, do you remember how long of a walk it would be (with a 5 year old)?Any advice from someone that has stayed at the resort is greatly appreciated!

First of all there is no golf course at WH. We've stayed in two different townhouses. One was on Sir Kaufman and back up to other townhouses but you have walls around your splash pool so it's fairly private. The other was on Renshaw and back up to the Dry Retention Pond ( a big field ) and that was private. One of the units was an end unit and one was a middle unit and both were very quiet. We never heard the people next door at any time except when you're out in the pool area.
The one on Renshaw was in the furtherest corner and it only took us about 5 min to walk to the main pool and about the same to the playground, and it's a nice walk.

Thank you so much for the info (both on this board and the other one!). We just decided and went with one on Renshaw St. It was originally my 1st choice, then moved to 3rd for a couple of reasons, but right before I saw your post my husband and I were both thinking it was the one to book. We were a little worried about the walk to the pool with our younger daughter based on a comment I saw on a tripadvisor review, since my husband will head to the golf course with the car for one morning. But 5 minutes - no problem. Our trip isn't until October and both my husband and I are really happy we decided to stay off property after reading comments posted here and on other sites. So again, thank you.

They mean the golf course just south of Windsor Hills, which is Mystic Dunes. The townhomes on the south side of Sir Kaufman do back up to a golf course, Mystic Dunes, of course there's a privacy wall between the 2 resorts so you can't walk over there or anything though!

None of the townhomes are that far of a walk to the clubhouse, we walk it all of the time with our little kids, it's never been an issue. When you figure out how far you walk every day at the theme parks 1-2 blocks to the pool is really no big deal at all.

We stayed on Renshaw last year. It is a pretty good hike on foot to the clubhouse pool - in fact, we never did it. My kids were too tired at the end of the day to want to...
(Also factor in that it was July and boiling hot.)

I was just thinking of staying at Windsor Hills and was wondering what the best/worst areas are. Also I have not really seen a bad reivew and was just wondering if everyone staying there has be satisfied. Any tips???
