I am fairly new to the podcasts and I was wondering if the podcast crew had ever done any episodes dedicated to the names on the windows in the magic kingdom? Any help would be appreciated

Also, I am enjoying going back and downloading podcasts from as far back as I can get them. For example, I just listened to one of Kevin's reviews of the coral reef restaurant in Epcot.(2006) It was HILARIOUS! I am now curious to see if he has been back there and done a follow up review since 2006.

On the Disneyland Edition Podcast, Michael has just began a series on the Windows of Main Street. In last week's podcast he did a segment on the newest tribute window for Buzz Price. Michael interviewed Sam Gennaway. I hope you take a listen. I think Michael and Sam have a great conversation.

This is just the first of the windows that Michael will be exploring. Do you have a favorite you would be interested in knowing about? I am sure Michael would love to hear your interests.

It's a great day to be alive!!!

PS - Michael is my husband.

Interesting.

My grand daughter tells me she wants to take a tour in disney. We are going in dec for her birthday and she will be 8. I told her I dont want to do a tour yet as I think it will spoil the magic. So I wanted to take her on my own tour and show her stuff about Main Street and the windows is what I think would be a good start-
I found this site to start with for her

i hope to try your podcast too

Forgive my ignorance as I have never set foot in Disneyland, but are the names on the windows the same for both parks?

I do not have any particular names in mind, I'm more just interested in the stories behind the names.

Thanks

I even started a thread on here just the other day to let him know what a wonderful job he did on that segment. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to more! :thumbsup2

There are a few people who have their names in both the MK and DL. There are some notable ones though in the MK Walt has two one on the front of the train station facing the entrance and another facing the castle around the crystal palace I think. In DL the only window dedicated to Walt is in toon town and he is the only human to have one their.

I am delighted to see there is an interest in those who have been honored with a Window on Main Street. Please listen to my April 11 show on The DIS Unplugged Disneyland Edition about Harrison "Buzz" Price. I am lining up more guests for the series, so please keep listening. If you are interested in Disney history, I will be doing a show in a few weeks on Walt Disney's Hyperion Studio.

I also enjoyed the segment on Buzz. :thumbsup2

I must admit that when I first heard of it I was thinking "who the heck was he?" but now that I've listened it fell in place for me. Please keep up the Disney history segments Michael, they are fascinating.

Buzz was a fascinating man. Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed the segment and for listening to the podcast.

Loved the interview and I am very excited about this series. I hope that once you finish Disneyland you will cover those from WDW that aren't duplicates. Michael had been a wonderful addition to the Disneyland podcast team!

Thank you for the kind words and for the suggestion about covering the unique windows at the WDW Magic Kingdom. I suppose I will have to discuss that with the Orlando Team when the time comes since I would be walking in their side of the Kingdom. :)
