Anyone use this? How do you like it? I was at Michaels and it's all they had...didn't feel like doing another stop. I noticed it say you can peel cold or hot depending of if you want it matte or glossy? which to you suggest? thanks!!!

I have used both kinds, for light or dark tshirts. I LOVE this kind!! Compared to the other brands I have used, these held up the best color wise. I just have to remember to wash them inside out. I have used them for tshirts and tote bags.

I prefer the glossy, but the matte looks nice too.

They are a good value if you have a coupon from Michaels.

thanks for the info. I'm confused on one thing...I bought the dark one, but what's the difference. Doesn't everything tranfer with a white background, regardless of the color t-shirt you put in on? i'm a little confused:confused3 ....thanks!

With the light fabric transfer, you have to reverse or mirror the image and its more of a white background. The dark transfer paper you don't have to reverse it and it is almost a clear transfer paper.

I prefered the dark shirt transfer paper. Its so easy to use.

Hope this helps.

wondering... what are all the brands that you've used?

I have used for tshirts and tote bags...
transfer magic
june taylor
epson
and wilton...

I have used both kinds, for light and dark paper...all for inkjet printers.

I prefer the Wilton, very easy to use, and have held up the best for me with the shirts I have made. I made shirts back in Dec and use mine all the time, and they still look like the day I made it. Wilton is just my personal preference.

This is backwards -

Dark transfer paper is the white transfer (which means the white in the design will be white)

and Light transfers are clear (which means that all white areas of the design will be clear - ie. the color of the shirt)

Thanks Amy,

I would have helped if I had looked at the green shirts I made to see the white..lol

All I did was look at the transfers and take a guess.

I do like the dark better because I don't have to reverse the image. My printer is so old, it doesn't have an auto option to do that..lol

Guess I should get a new one huh:confused3

I use dark transfers for everthing - even on white! But I am just partial to dark transfers. I like that I do not have to flip and I like the matte finish of the dark versus the shiny of the light transfers. Also, I think that the colors look more vibrant using dark transfers. Just my opinion!

THANKS! I never heard of any of those; most of the posts I've viewed were for Avery & HP transfers. Thanks for the education! :surfweb:

And Yes, MICKEY is correct:
DARK TRANSFERS = a design that shows up white for white areas
LIGHT TRANSFERS = a design that shows up clear for white areas
