Wilma, forgotten suitcases & cruising October 2005 ""Finally Completed"

During our last trip one of my favorite moments was spending time at Epcot with my DS. Most of the time I admit that I am a true park commando, but for those few hours we lived in the moment and just enjoyed walking onto whatever was available. We weren’t in a hurry to grab a fastpass or run to a PS we simply enjoyed the magic.

As my DS (12) is getting older I am finding fewer and fewer moments like this are available. We let busy schedules get in the way of simply enjoying being together. Thanks for the reminder!!!

I am sorry I havent written for a few days. Not sure if anyone is following up much... but, I promise within the next few days I will write again.

We no longer own a bar. Still wish I could go to WDW and Cruise yearly. (monthly,hahaha)

Cruise Wonder 10-27-05 to 10-30-05

The cruise was absolutely wonderful. My children ordered Mickey Bars and Pizza from room service... One night they even fll asleep before it was delivered.

We met Jeanne B and her husband for a drink in one of the bars. It was a pleasure.

My youngest didnt want to leave the kids place so she missed every show. My oldest missed the 1st night "Hercules" but she attended the other plays. She was upset she skipped the 1st night.

At Nassau youngest stayed on ship.. The rest of us went into town. We ate at the Hard Rock.. went to the Straw Market. Even went to the bank. As we were leaving... I was literally 25 feet from leaving the begging area.. It happened.. Something I will regret my whole life... I got suckered into letting my dd get hair braided. As you know, if you have read up to this point, we don't have a lot of money.

So, as the lady was doing the braids, I realized how small she was making them... I started figuring in my head this could break me. So, yes... I threw a big fit.. I am ashamed.. I am angry at myself for putting my daughter in this position.. I can not afford to let this lady finish. So, with daughter crying..(I hate this) I get the lady to stop.. So a day that could have just been great.. will now always conjur up this image. Even now a year later.. my daughter says.. remember mom when that lady tried to make you spend a lot on my hair.

That was the worst experience of the entire trip..

I would hightly recommend the Disney Cruise.. my daughters have both said this was the best part of the whole trip.. and if they could do the parks or the cruise again.. They choose CRUISE.

It was just wonderful in so many ways..

I just found your post, Bee & am dying to hear the rest!! So sorry about the Nassau incident. I don't know for sure, but I will bet they purposely make small braids for it to cost more. We would LOVE to do DCL. Trying to figure out a way to make it happen.

I am sorry.. that is the extent of my trip. We had a wonderful time. It truly was the trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend the Cruise.

Thank you... You read my trip report and now I have read yours. Yours was awesome.. I would highly recommend the cruise. In fact we are thinking of going back to WDW in October 2007 and also do a 7 day cruise.

Bee...that night with only your eldest sounds like so much fun! It is so nice to be able to "let your hair down" and just enjoy them as people...it's hard to do that with more then one in tow sometimes!! Thanks for stopping by my trip report and leading me back to yours!
