We are a group of 10 (4 adults and 6 children) going to Disney the week of Aug. 14. We are not going with hoppers. Here are my latest ADR's (changed them around a bit again to try to avoid EMH crowds). I need to stop doing this and relax!

Maybe better times will open up closer to our travel date? Maybe we should consider separate reservations to get better times and ask if they can seat us close together? I think that some of the reservations mentioned that we may not be seated together anyway? :confused3

Sun - EP (Teppan Edo) - Keep the 6:50 or go with an earlier 4:50 as we're planning to see Illuminations. Keeping the 6:50.

Mon - MK or EP (1900 PF, 7:05) Changed to Boma, 6:55

Tue - AK (Whispering Canyon) - It's a 7:40 and AK closes at 6:00. Do you have to be out of the park right at closing or can we start walking towards the gate from where ever we are at closing? Trying to not have too much downtime until our reservation. Are the reservations running late at this point as that would add to the wait time :( HS (projected lower crowds), Sci Fi, 4:10 (think kids will love this), going to chance that the wait will not be as long for Fantasmic, just not feeling Mama Melrose

Wed - MK, possibly EP if we go to MK on Monday (Liberty Tree, 7:30) - Would appreciate a recommendation for this night or could do a breakfast as we're not def. about Liberty Tree. We do not have to be in the park for the meal. Changed to 1900 Park Fare, 7:25 (couldn't find anything earlier, do you think this is too late?)

Thurs - HS (Mama Melrose, 3:45) - Too late to change the Fantasmic Package to another day/time Changed to AK, Kona Cafe 6:40 (hope it's not too much like O'Hana, couldn't find another night so it's back to back same resort)

Fri - MK - (O'Hana, 7:00) Should we stay and watch the electricial parade and Wishes from the beach or head back to MK?

Thank you, again!

I think your ADRs look great. I'd keep the Teppan Edo you have. Illuminations is at 9:00 and it really isn't that hard to find a spot to watch. You should be finished with dinner a little after 8:00 or so and still have time to find your spot.

AK--Depending on the ages of your kids, you could do one last ride on EE or the safari. Just be in line before 6:00. You'll get to ride and take your time getting to your ADR.

Liberty Tree--we haven't done this one for dinner. Lunch was good, though. You have a lot of options in and around MK. Crystal Palace ADR would give you a Winnie the Pooh character meal.

Ohana--is this breakfast or dinner? We LOVE dinner at Ohana.

I know you're not asking about park plans, but I think I would make Mon an MK day. That way you have two days at MK and then on Fri you could decide if you want another MK day or go back to Epcot if there are things there you still want to do. Ohana's is still fairly easy to get to on the monorail from Epcot.

I think this one is just fine. You should have plenty of time to finish dinner and still find a great spot for Illuminations, without too much time just standing around.
Mon - MK or EP (1900 PF, 7:05)
This one looks fine to me too.

Tue - AK (Whispering Canyon) - It's a 7:40 and AK closes at 6:00. Do you have to be out of the park right at closing or can we start walking towards the gate from where ever we are at closing? I think time-wise, you should be fine here...you can start towards the front at 6:00, you don't have to be out at 6:00. However, I would pretty strongly recommend trying one of the restaurants at AKL, (Boma or Sanaa since it doesn't look like you're planning to do signatures over Whispering Canyon. Keep it if it's something you really want to do, but I've never found it to be worth traveling out of my way for.

Wed - MK (Liberty Tree, 7:30) - Would appreciate a recommendation for this night or could do a breakfast as we're not def. about Liberty Tree. We do not have to be in the park for the meal.
If you want to keep Liberty Tree, I would definitely do it for lunch rather than dinner. A couple of other options might be dinner at Crystal Palace or at GF Cafe (the food is better at GF Cafe, but to be a character dinner, CP is perfectly acceptable and has a lot of variety.) This would also be a better time to do WC if you're really set on keeping it. It's a very nice boat ride from MK to WL.

Thurs - HS (Mama Melrose, 3:45) - Too late to change the Fantasmic Package to another day/time
I just saw a report that someone was able to change a Fantasmic Package very recently, so it may be worth a try. Personally, I dislike the Fantasmic package. I always have an early dinner at 50's, then just wait for Fantasmic...but if I were going to do the package, it would definitely be at MM...so I think you'll be ok.

Fri - MK - (O'Hana, 7:00)
Love 'Ohana!
Thank you!

I hope that helps a little. I know trying to plan ADR's can be a nightmare.

Everything looks fine to me. We love Liberty Tree. I would keep that The only thing is you may wait a little to get seated. But I would leave it go. We also love Teppenmn Edu. They usually seat pretty fast there compared to other places. This is what we noticed atleast. One of uor least favorites it the O'hana. Thought it was over rated. But with kids, they will have fun. We did eat late at Whispering Canyon one time and noticed they were starting to "close Down" and missed out on some experiences there.

Another vote for Liberty Tree, we ate there last May, and thought the food was delicious. We don't like Tony's, or Crystal Palace, so for dining inside the MK, my family's options are limited.

O'hana is probably my family's favorite Disney restaurant, we eat there on every visit.

Sun - EP (Teppan Edo) - Keep the 6:50 or go with an earlier 4:50 as we're planning to see Illuminations
---this should be fine at 6:50. You really don't have to "line up" to see Illuminations; it pretty much takes over all of WS

Mon - MK or EP (1900 PF, 7:05)
---good restaurant choice. Decent food, great characters.

Tue - AK (Whispering Canyon) - It's a 7:40 and AK closes at 6:00. Do you have to be out of the park right at closing or can we start walking towards the gate from where ever we are at closing? Trying to not have too much downtime until our reservation. Are the reservations running late at this point as that would add to the wait time :(
---while you would have time to get there, I agree it's not my optimal choice and is very far away. Boma would be my #1 pick; it is not in the park but is a very short bus ride. Will depend on availability.

Wed - MK (Liberty Tree, 7:30) - Would appreciate a recommendation for this night or could do a breakfast as we're not def. about Liberty Tree. We do not have to be in the park for the meal.
--- I like the LTT lunch but not the dinner. To stay in the park, what about Tony's or CP?

Thurs - HS (Mama Melrose, 3:45) - Too late to change the Fantasmic Package to another day/time
---never too late as cancellations happen, but it's not a bad option for the F! package.

Fri - MK - (O'Hana, 7:00)
--- LOVE it!

Thank you!

ALL ADRs say they don't guarantee that large groups will be seated together, just as resort reservations do not guarantee connecting rooms or even specific resorts. But Disney bends over backwards to accomodate people and I think people VERY rarely report being separated (or maybe just being given a choice - take 2 tables now or wait half an hour for the big table to open up.

What about a character meal since there are 6 kids with you? Kids usually love them! Last time we did Chef Mickey on the last morning before we had to leave for the airport. My daughter loved seeing all of them and saying "good bye". It was a good last memory for her.

Would you please take another looksie for me?

I made some changed based on your answers, to diversify the food, based on crowds, based on reviews, etc, etc...

Just have to figure out how to get to these ADR's now and what time to leave!

I would do Boma on the AK night (unless you are staying at AKL) and do something closer to MK/EP on Monday (maybe Kona that day)

i vote for liberty tree!

everything looks great! you'll enjoy kona and ohana... separate experiences!
