Will you still drive to FL to Disney if gas reaches..

Prices for gas just sailed over $4 a gallon today. Went from $2.50 last night to $3.50 this morning to $4 at lunch time. I am traveling in 2 days to WDW. Will hurt - but will not let it hamper our trip.

Yes, because we're off-site so we'll need a car. Currently, it's still much cheaper to drive to Florida from NJ for the two of us (around $300) than fly down and rent a car ($400 for plane tix and $200 for car rental for week).

this is the debate that is going on in our family right now. to go or not to go. our next trip is in only 24 days,it has been planned for months. we have several family members meeting from 3 different states. I think the only thing that would stop us is reports of gas shortages. I know gas stations in our area are running out of gas. but i think that is due to the fact their prices were low and everyone made a run to fill up before the prices went up. i "NEED" a vacation and if i have to add some to our gas budget. then its just something i'll have to do.

No signs of any "real" shortage here --just folks filling up trying to save a few bucks.
