My MIL is unable to get around for days at a time. Many days are different though, and she is wonderful when she takes it easy. She is planning on joining us for 11 days in October but is becoming worried about whether or not she should go. We would never push her to do more than she can! Because of this, she worries that she'll slow us down and also that she'll be wasting so much money on tickets she might not be up to using. The scooters are another large expense! At $35 a day, she'd add $350 to her trip. They are both retired and are spending lots of money on this trip already-- the thought of having to add more $$ is discouraging to her. Please give any encouragement you have to offer her. I told her I'd find out what I could. Like I said, I do not want to pressure her into something she's obviously become worried about, but she's such a special lady that I'd hate to miss the time with her if her fears can be eased! When we booked this trip, it was for us to meet up with our family (we don't live close to each other). I will still have a great time with my children if my in-laws don't come but I also know it will be a memory we'd treasure forever-- especially my children.
Thank you for helping her-- she will be very interested in what you have to say!!
