My sister and I (college students) want to go back to WDW for spring break. We are looking for an affordable way to do so. At school we saw a poster which I will link, but Im confused about it because I do not see how it is such a great deal (that they are marketing to college students). it doesn't appear to include airfare so I wondering what the "deal" is. Check it out if you get a chance.

i called them and they said the prices listed included tickets, all-star hotel stay, and taxes and they tried to trick me by telling my that is also included transportation around disney and magical express (which is already a given)

any thoughts?

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. I would have love to be able to go to Disney for Spring break in college. :thumbsup2

Many people don't know about this. Even large travel companies advertise this as getting something extra-oh and they also act like Fast Pass is a special freebie even though it's always free.

It doesn't look like a bad deal, since the tix are park hoppers with water park and more added.

It might be a good deal, but I would shop around a bit first. At the low end, if you booked it yourself, the same 2 night package (including park hopping and water parks, etc) would run you 346 per person (assuming you and your sis split the cost of the room and you paid rack rate) at the All Stars to the high end of $1789 for the Beach Club for 7 days. the deal you posted seems to be better than rack rates, but you may be able to find a better deal elsewhere (and if you are considering the Beach club, it may be cheaper to rent points from a DVC member to book your trip and have a nicer room). You should also inquire with the company about the room type you would be booked in (standard view, preferred, etc.)

HTH,
Hannah

I may be reading it wrong, but it seems kind of steep to me. The $289/night is per person for two nights (if you have 4 people in the room). Thats $1156 for the stay, or $578/per night at CBR. It seems if you booked the hotel on its own, then purchased your passes seperately, you could save some cash. I also like the "Free Drinks for 18 hours of the day." :confused3 Buy your own re-fillable for $12.

I don't think it's a great deal.. they list the price at $869.00 / person for 4 people for a 7 night stay at Beach Club... if you rented the points from a DVC member, and assuming you got about $10.00/point.. those 7 day's would cost you $1340... and 7-day hoppers would cost $1152.00 for a total of $2492.. which is $623 / person... that would be for Beach club..

As for the All stars.. in feb I know the prices are going to be around $80/night for rack rate... so if you do that for 7 night that would come out to somewhere around $560.00 for the room. then add in the ticket prices - 288 / person.. If it was just the two of you the total would come out to $1136.00 and their rate is $1338... so unless I'm doing my math wrong (which is highly possible :lmao: ) I don't think they are giving you the greatest deal.

It's an awesome deal, especially if you stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort or the Yacht and Beach Club!!! I would take advantage and stay at one of them! I am staying at the CBR in January and it is almost $900 for the room for 6 nights...this does not include anything but the room....

Everyone else has to pay for magical express now....so if it is included in the price...it's good.

those prices are per person ... so if you were to stay at CBR for 6 nights with 2 people it would cost $1478.00... taking your 900.00 figure that would leave $578.00 leftover.. 6-day park hopper w/water park is $574.00 for 2 people... so the deal isn't saving real money.. now the question is what is their "discounted rate" for airfare? then it might be worth it :teeth:

DME is still free... as far as I understand for all resort guests :confused3

Hey there. I think it would depend on when your spring break is. If it starts on or before March 8, it would be $502pp for 5 nights at POP compared to $549. (Just no free drinks, mug for $12, still cheaper)
If you go after that it would be (like March 23-28) it would be $643, so you would definitely save. I would just input the days you want to go into either after March 8 or before March 8

For airfare, if you can check out Southwest airlines, they are having Orlando deals right now, or you could watch for Ding (download from the Southwest Airlines page) My parents are flying from the midwest for $117pp.

Good luck!

Sorry...magical express may still be free....however, I have researched how much it would cost to go both during regular season and value season (based on two people in the room). The deal would be best if you chose to go during regular season.....it truly depends on when your spring break is. If you go during Disney's value season....it's not a deal at all.....here's the breakdown....and it's long, sorry.

All Star Resort

Room during value season (for 7 nights)- $574 or $287 per person
Tickets (7 day park hopper with Water Park and more)- $288 per person

Total per person (Value Season)- $634

Room during Regular Season- $693 or $346.50 per person
Tickets- $288 per person

Total: $862

Deal Quote for 7 nights-$669.00 Only good if your dates fall in the regular season. This deal would be best.

Caribbean Beach
Room (Value)- $507.50 per person
Tickets-$288

Total: $795 per person

Room (Regular)- $577.50 per person
Tickets- $288

Total: $830 per person

Deal Quote: $799...once again...only a deal if your dates fall in regular season

Yacht and Beach Club
Room (Value)-$752.50 per person
Tickets-$288

Total:$1040.50 per person

Room (Regular)- $927.50 per person
Tickets: $288

Total: $1215.50 per person

Deal Quote: $1479.00 per person....This one is not a deal at all. Do not do it...I was wrong the first time I said it. I was thinking then that it was a per room quote at that point.

None of my totals include airfare, because I don't know how much that is from where you are. You can figure that in and then decide if one of the Value or Moderate Resort deals is good for you. I would not do it unless your Spring Break dates are during regular season....otherwise you will be paying more than if you paid for each thing separately through Disney. Check the Disney website to see which dates your Spring Break falls. It will also depend on how many nights you are staying....you can go to the Disney website for room rates and do you own calculations if you are staying less than 7 days. I always stay seven nights, and that is what I based it on. I hope this helps.

if i go i was planning on going like march 20-23.

and driving because i have the extra time and it will be cheaper.
