That was really nice of you to watch the boys so your BIL and SIL could eat together. Marc and I have our "date nights" after the boys are in bed. We cook something nice, watch a movie, and snuggle on the couch at least once a week. There have been a couple time my MIL watched them while we went to town and ran errands and that seemed like a really great date!

Anyway, I'm sure they really appreciated it.
I can remember when my boys were little and it was almost impossible to get a date night. Sometimes the best dates are right at home with a good meal and a good movie, although I have a terrible tendency to fall asleep during even the best movies. I hate that!
Even having time without the kids to run errands is huge when your kids are little. You feel so "free". It's a great feeling!
Ugh! Ive fallen so far behind on all the TRs Ive been keeping up with! Sorry! But Im back now and ready to read and catch up, yaya!!
I also appear to have so much to say that I'm going to post with each days thoughts, so that this post isn't HUGE.
I am impressed with how well you are catching up. I looked at all your comments last night and decided I better wait until today to reply. I'm not always my brightest after 10pm.
I totally get that in the dark, still late night feeling at Disney, the dang black out blinds! Ive definitely also woken up and been all wow, my alarm must be about to go off, Im wide awake and ready to go and when Ive checked, its only 3 am
oops
I hate that. I can't stand to think I slept all night and then I find out its only 3am. And sometimes, when I am super excited about something, I can't fall back to sleep. Ugh!
Thats a good policy! Im going to need to adopt that once I have any amount of teenagers with me haha! Thankfully, most people are okay with getting up early now (although Im still up at least half an hour if not more than them)
I am always the first person up in my house on the weekends. I just feel like I get a lot done while the house is still quiet. Other times I want to sleep but my cats, who are so used to my early mornings, start scratching at the bed room door in their attempt to be fed. Stupid cats!
Oh my goodness!! As if it took that long to get to the park!! That is the one thing I dont like about the resorts with internal busses/busses that go through to every area of the resort before leaving. That! Is why I love the monorail resorts, and the values, where theres one stop, and thats it! Haha.
I swear the bus service to the parks is the best from the values. You may have to wait for a bus or two on the way home, but the trade off is you go straight to your stop. I was definitely NOT a fan of the internal bus system or the whole 20 minute SSR loop. Too long!
I really do love the view of the castle from CP, its great!!! Breakfast looks like it was a hit, yum! That food is some of my favorite on Disney property, its also great to see that everyone, even the teenagers got in on the character fun!
I love CP. That and Cape May Cafe are my two favorite breakfast buffets. CMC is a little bit more subdued and I love having a late breakfast there after hitting Epcot first thing in the am. I agree, the view of the castle from CP is awesome!
Holy thats a lot of people for the Peoplemover! Ive never seen it like that! I never spend any time in Tmrland in Disney, I have yet to ride Space, think Im going to do it next week, and CoP is definitely on my list of things to do!
Can you believe we never rode the People mover once this trip?

Actually, hard for me to believe cause I love that ride. I hope you love Space and CoP is just - well- its so cute and nostalgic. When you get to the last scene look closely at the oven - I used to have the exact same one. I got rid of it two years ago with a kitchen remodel.
I love that while in Disney you can just talk to anyone, strike up conversation with anyone at basically any time, everyones so friendly! Im glad everyone had some time to relax and do what they wanted to do after a busy morning in the parks.
I really do enjoy meeting new people in Disney and I especially love chatting it up with other DVCers because its so nice to trade experiences. I learn a lot and their is an immediate bond!
See?! That loop! Drives me insane!! But yay that you guys are getting back into the park! I love it when youre returning to a park later and you see lots of people leaving, gives me happy thoughts haha.
This summer the crowds were considerable less in the evenings. Kind of makes me wonder why we didn't just visit the parks in the evenings. No seriously, I am kidding. But evenings were a treat.
Oh Splash Mtn, I love you so. Im super glad everything worked out and everyone enjoyed it! Yum! That burger looks delicious, I always go for the taco salad or such while Im there, but that looks like a homemade delicious burger!
I love Splash too and I was thrilled that the CM let us ride. I know my nephews really enjoyed it and I'm sorry my brother missed it because I think he would have liked it too.
I do enjoy the taco salad there as well.
The Sorcerers game looks pretty cool, but I just couldnt imagine doing it while there are so many other things to do! Plus Ive heard that if you get to the screen behind another group, you kinda get things spoiled for you, but I am intrigued!
I would actually like to try the game, but I think it has to be when the crowd levels are really low. I hate feeling rushed and I'm not good at waiting. I bet right now is a perfect time to play it. I hope you get your chance.
Some great parade shots! I do really like a day in the parks followed by all the night time shows, I definitely skipped a couple last time, and sometimes, its just easier to watch them on different nights, spare the hectic-ness of the crowds haha, but its awesome to do it all in one! The castle looks so pretty with the floating lanterns on it!
I thought the castle show was amazing. I know I have said it here a bunch of times, but it was definitely a highlight for me and I am sorry they are ending it. I hope it gets retooled into something really great.
Ugh, that does suck being thrown under the bus! Boo urns! Im always the first person up on trips, and I do my best to tip toe around until the official alarm goes off, but people have got to realize that theres only so much space in resorts. Boo.
I was so not happy with my DH for throwing me under the bus and agreeing with Matt. It really made me angry because I think there was a much better way to handle. And once Matt got into the Disney spirit he didn't even mind getting up.
First - the big DIS meet is on Thursday, but it's the 18th, not the 17th. Don't want anyone to miss it!
OMG - thank you for correcting me. I looked right at my calendar and typed the wrong date when I knew it said 18. I'll have to change that.
Second - poor, wise LJ. I'm glad his dad smiled! He did pick a pretty great ride to get excited about!
He did indeed. And I hope on his second ride he smiled and laughed. And I hope that LJ was right next to him to see it.
Third - date meal - Maybe ok for them to just have a meal alone and if they really didn't know what they were missing...but dang, I know what they were missing and it would have been GOOD!!! At least they went somewhere alone. And you and the boys made out okay too.
I think that was my point - they really didn't know what they were missing and I just know they would have loved Les Chefs, plus I was going to have them take my TIW and charge it on my roomcard so they could get the discount. Oh well.
Fourth - I wish that when I was there in summer and it rained, it was just a shower. We always had lightning and the pools would close for hours. Lucky you - and some nice quiet hot tub time too!! BONUS!
2 hour pool closures is what I am used to during the summer. I lucked out big time this trip. I went to the pool almost every afternoon without major closures. It was great!
Fifth - Figment - I enjoy it - don't love it, but then my family starts singing "IMAAAAAGINATION!" at the top of their lungs and makes me nuts!!! Sarah can really sound like Figment too.
Do you think you can convince Sarah to do her Figment imitation for me in October? I'm thinking she'll probably say no, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
Sixth - NO BAG CHECK????? YOU? Wow, I'm impressed!

I was just wondering the other day about whether they would want to see a wristlet. Good to know you didn't have to be bothered.
Nope - walked right in with the wristlet because, IMHO, its really NOT a bag.

I know - its really hard to believe I didn't go through a bag check. No worries - that will be the last time for awhile!
