Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

A great park and pool day! Seems like everyone is getting into the groove. VERY weird and dissapointing about the THV pool situation though. That Congress Park pool looks really big, what a pretty backdrop! Kind of surprised the kids weren't bugging for the main pool/slide but that looks lovely..

The THV pool had a broken filter, so even though the water looked crystal clear, they closed if for swimming and were waiting for a part. Denny never gets irritated, but he is also into conveniences and by Wednesday he was really starting to get hot about it.

I love the Congress Park pool. Has to be one of my favorite quiet pools on property. It is big. Its got a nice hot and a stellar view. So relaxing.

I can really see where you needed cars if you were driving for CS at other resorts. Someday I'd love to try Pepper Market, I love fish tacos..

I really enjoyed it. Very tasty. Very easy to order and get food quickly. Great selections. They have a lunch buffet that is supposed to be great. I almost went back to try it later in the week.

We'll have to hit the Tune In, in Oct.

Yes, Please!~ ::yes::

What a great day! :thumbsup2 So glad y'all had fun at DHS! And I love how you were able to work in some pool time before dinner. Speaking of dinner....that dessert looks delicious!!

I am a master at working in pool time, even if its just for 45 minutes. I just really love that time. Probably if I had a pool at home I wouldn't be so insistent on it. But to me, it's part of vacation!

The dessert was super yummy. Surely the best so far. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about EPCOT! :goodvibes

Next update is all about Epcot! :thumbsup2

Yay for your FP's finally ripening!! Sometimes those last few minutes can feel like FOREVER!

Ripening of the "old" FP. Too funny. :rotfl2: But that's exactly how it feels. It's like waiting for a pot to boil. :rotfl:

Your meal at Pepper Market sounds really good! I've never been there before (actually, never even to CSR, but I always want to go!)

If you ever get a chance to stop by there, do. It's really a gorgeous resort. Very relaxing. Same about the Pepper Market. It was a perfect choice for the quick service dining plan.

That stinks about the pool by you guys! Hopefully it was open at some point!

It eventually did open, but it was almost time to check out when it did. :faint: A pump was broken and it was taking forever to get the broken part. Denny could not understand why they could not just "overnight" it.

You got some really nice pics! I'm not a fan of Star Tours. I find it rough! I'm very happy you all enjoyed it though!

I agree that the back row is a little rough, but I still like. I love simulators because they feel so real. They really suck me in. I took all those pictures of the pre-show.

Wow, I can't believe your pool was closed again! Some serious maintenance perhaps? At least the pool you did get to was beautiful and sparsely populated!

A broken filter or pump or some necessary pool thing. They were waiting for the part which was taking forever.

I love the congress park pool, so I really wasn't disappointed that we went there. ;)

Ummm that dessert looks heavenly indeed! Got my mouth watering, that's for sure!

It was quite decadent. I really enjoyed my entire meal there and would definitely go back again.

It sounds like you had a great day..

We had such a fun day. It was very low stress and everyone really enjoyed the park. I really think its because we got there for park opening. It made all the difference.

Never did Star Tours. Not a big fan of the movie (I know----:confused3) so we never tried it. May have to give the ride a try..

I don't think you have to like the movies to enjoy the ride. That is, if you like simulator rides. I love simulators, so it was right up my alley and the 3 D effects are really good.

It has been years since we have been to the Pepper Market. I love that place but always forget about it. Those fish tacos look good. May head there in November..

I really enjoyed the Pepper Market. So many choices, the waiters were great, and the place was very empty so it was easy. I definitely plan on returning.

Ok, so we have part of our November trip at Saratoga Springs. This will be our first time there. Do you have any suggestions on what area to request.

If you want to be closest to the main pool, then I suggest the Springs. My personal favorite areas are the Grandstand because its got a great pool, its very spacious, and its close enough to check-in depending on what building you are in. I also love congress park because DTD disney is the backdrop. My first stay there I had a studio that overlooked DTD. What is not to love about that?

I have also stayed in the Carousel section, which some people don't like but I enjoyed it. There is a new slide in the pool between the Carousel and the Paddock section. I think they also enlarged the pool.

I have stayed in Carousel, the Paddock, and the Congress Park section and they were all great, but CP was my favorite.

Hope that helps.

Wow, the pool being closed all that time must have been annoying, but at least you had other options.

Now you have me wanting to try the fish tacos. It looks very yummy. But that dessert looks really, really good. LOL!!

I love DHS at night. There's just something about being there after the lights go off that makes it all the more magical. :)

Wow, the pool being closed all that time must have been annoying, but at least you had other options.

Personally, the THV pool is pretty nondescript compared to the other SSR pools, so I didn't mind having to try the others out. My DH, on the other hand, was really annoyed. To him a pool is a pool and convenience is the key. I'm glad we had to go over to congress park and thankful for the car.

They were very good and there are a ton of other yummy options there as well.

I love DHS at night. There's just something about being there after the lights go off that makes it all the more magical. :)

It is a really pretty night time park. I regret I didn't have my good camera. Sometimes I just get tired of lugging around. I may have had it, but just too lazy to use it. Oh well. At least my cell took a few good pics. ;)

Yay for finally getting to use your Star Tours Fastpasses! I have to agree with you on giving away a Fastpass and then wondering whether or not the person ever used them. I've given them away before and then thought "I wish I had found somebody else to give them to because I bet they don't have a clue how to use them."

I have a friend who stayed at SSR last Summer and they used that same pool. She loved having a view of DTD while they were swimming and lounging.

I've been thinking about wandering over to CSR and trying the food there. I'm not a real big fan of fish tacos but your's looked really good and the dessert looks like it was, indeed, heaven on a plate.

Mary Ellen, my sister and her hubby are headed to see my nephew in South Carolina over the Thanksgiving holidays. They are going to makes stops in Savannah and possibly Hilton Head along the way. I told her about your trip report on that area and was going to send her the link but I can't remember when you posted about your trip. Any clue on where I can find it?

I love the SSR pics! Can't wait to try that pool out next month :)

Your dinner at Pepper Market looks really good! Can you believe we stayed there for a week and never ate there :confused3 Guess we need to go back and check it out :)

Which brings me to something that may be a little :offtopic: Don't you hate when you offer a FP to someone who (1) doesn't speak English, (2) doesn't know what a FP is, or (3) all of the above? You never really know if said person is going to use the actual FP and if they don't, well then what a waste.

I've had times when I tried to give them away and people have refused or looked at me like I have 3 heads. :confused3

We had a date with Good Ol' Bo!

Pat will be proud.

Here's some more pictures to help you figure it out.

I'm just looking at these DTD pictures and pining for my lost chance at the balloon ride. :sad1:

I couldn't help but notice how cool the clouds looked on the way out

Glad this was a better day! I love DHS lit up at night. The neon really looks cool.

Awww Thanks. And your right....if I survive...:lmao::lmao::lmao: Should be pee your pants funny me even trying to complete my conditions:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm sure you'll do a great job. To be able to make an educated decision on this fine job....we'll need photographic evidence, video is fine. :rolleyes1
Sorry for the hi-jack, Mary Ellen. :goodvibes

Looks like DHS day turned out pretty good! It sounds like everyone was getting into the spirit of being there. :thumbsup2

Yeaaaah for CSR, my home resort. :cloud9: I love it there, pictures just don't do it total justice, I don't understand why? :confused3

Pepper Market has some great choices to pick from, I think it's a buffett during the morning and afternoon hours (just ask Pat) :scared:, and all for a counter service credit. Pretty good if you ask me. :upsidedow

I can't blame Denny for being perturbed about the pool situation, nice choices outside of it. I liked the pool you went to, I love the view over the DTD area.

It is so disappointing when gifting some fastpasses falls flat. I've had that happen too. C'mon, show some excitement...I just dropped a barrel of pixiedust: on you!

Oh wow, that dessert at the Pepper Market looked good!

I couldn't help but notice how cool the clouds looked on the way out

There's a hidden Mickey! The formation on the left. ::MickeyMo

Im late to join in here but I just read through everything you've posted so far and a big :thumbsup2 I really appreciate that your posts arent too short or too long and your pics are great! Thanks for getting me excited for our upcoming trip!!! (in just 8 short months :goodvibes)

So glad everyone enjoyed Star Tours! So much fun! Your pictures from the queue are great, by the way!

Ugh... that pool situation must have been REALLY annoying. Nice that you got to swim in your favorite pool though! That backdrop really is fantastic.

THAT CAKE. Oh wow... that looks good. :rotfl:

Well I had fallen behind, but thanks to your links on page one, I'm caught up! Changing subjects at school, moving my first-born to college, cheerleading and football practices.....all of it is kicking my butt!

Sounds like your beach trip was relaxing and fun! I love how the DIS is a secret society! :)

My personal favorite is when you offer some FPs to a stranger, and they look at them like their stolen goods!

Great Update! I can't wait to try the new Star Tours, even though that ride usually gives me a headache, it's still fun (the original one) and the new one can hopefully only be better.

I knew that pool right away!! That's the section we stayed in so we spent a lot of time in that pool, I agree, it's a really nice one.

Your dinner at Pepper Market sounded good and that cake did look like heaven on a plate!!

Haha, I've given FP's away a few times, and I swear, every time we get the "what are you trying to pull" reaction...like people are just SO shocked when strangers are actually nice to them! :rotfl:

Yay Star Tours, it's always so much fun!

Aww I'm sorry you didn't get to go to the Tune Inn Lounge, that's my new favorite place in DHS! :cool1:

OMG that view from the pool at SSR is so amazing! I need to stay there! It's so strange how I never thought I'd want to stay there in my life and now I think it's so pretty!

Yum the Pepper Market sounds good, I'm sad I didn't get to try it my one night I stayed at CSR...I'll probably never ben going back there, since Brandon hated it so much! :rotfl:

I love your photobucket editing! You know, I just started playing around with photobucket editing...do you know how to get a huge smudge out of pictures? I assumed with the airbrush, but when I click on it nothing happens! Something happened to my camera and a lot of pics have this black smudge on them and it's really upsetting me! :furious:

It sounds like you guys had a lovely afternoon/evening! I love the new Star Tours too, and I'm glad you had the chance to ride it not once, but twice! :goodvibes

Too bad you never made it back to the tune in lounge- they make some awesome drinks- although my personal favs are the alcoholic milkshakes at Sci-Fi- yummy!

You guys are pool masters! I keep telling myself it will only get easier, when I don't have to worry about swim diapers and the kids can put on their own sunscreen. Going to the pool with a toddler just feels like such a production, it defeats the whole purpose of relaxation! :rotfl2:

Your meal at pepper market looks really good, I could go for some fish tacos right about now!

Really wonderful update!

I totally agree about how frustrating it is when you are trying to give away Fast Passes- people totally think you are trying to scam them. We are always careful, and look for the right party size, only to be told they are with more people. Or like you mentioned, there is a language barrier.

I love the pictures you took of the preride Star Tours movie. It is such a cute instructional video!

The Congress Park Pool looks AWESOME!!! What a view!

Never been to the Pepper Market- glad to hear you really enjoyed it. I can totally see why!

I'm glad you got to use the TSM Fast Passes. Your FPFP (Fast Pass Faux Pas) turned into a FPFP (Fast Pass Fantastic Plan)

Can't wait for your visit to EPCOT! I hope your brother and his family really love it, but I'm a little scared about your meltdown teaser! :scared1:

Finally caught up!

Well, my goodness, the Disney bug bit your brother! That is fantastic and as you said the escape from reality, tons of activities and customer service are hard to beat. As long as they aren't dependent on your points, I'd say this is victory! :yay:

LOVE Star Tours. It must address my inner geek or something. Totally agree with you on how disappointing it is when you try to share the magic and they just don't get it. But I think we still earn points for trying! :thumbsup2

Very odd about the pool - wonder why it was closed so much? :confused3 But whatever pool you visit looks really nice. ::yes:: Walking to Downtown Disney would be cool... of course I'd be eating Earl of Sandwich 3x per day!

What a nice day you had - DHS, pool, Pepper Market, DHS! Never been on Star Tours - might like it, but I get motion sickness, so I'm a bit nervous to try.

I'm wishing I was in one of those pools now. I think we leave in a little more than 6 weeks!!
