SIX lucky Brits became instant millionaires last night ...six times over.
Sixteen tickets shared the £96million EuroMillions jackpot - £6million each.
But no one matched all of the winning numbers - 17, 28, 30, 38, 44 and Lucky Stars 1 and 4.
The jackpot was instead split between the 16 prizewinners on the next level down. Organisers reported a last-minute rush of ticket sales across Europe yesterday.
More than a million tickets an hour were sold in the UK yesterday - with a peak of two million an hour in the early evening.
Camelot, UK administrators of the EuroMillions draw, last night confirmed that six winners were from Britain but could give no further details.
