Will you be able to meet a Na'vi in pandora?

Due to their size, it would be hard for a human to play one in character, but they could go the animatronic route, if they ever choose to add that feature. For now, it won't be a thing for meet and greet purposes.

It seems like they could make it work by them always sitting or something like that....

Nope. They have said it will not happen.
Now, things can change, and one should probably never say never but for now, they have said it will never happen.

If I were the Dis, I'd be scouting around the semi-pro international basketball leagues. There HAS to be plenty of teams to choose from. Maybe hire on a few 6+ to 7 foot guys to run around in costumes that add a foot or two in a viewing area.

Na'vi are something like 11-12 feet tall. They would have to use stilts however they would also need to make it look realistic. That is the whole point of this land, they want you immersed in the experience. Having something not looking realistic defeats the purpose. I just don't see them doing this at this time.

I wouldn't be surprised if cameron introduces an adult human sized navi child or something that could do meet and greets in a future movie :)

Wasn't it Joe Rohde who said NO to any M&G with the Na'vi?
I know they could always go against his wishes

I don't remember the one from the "first shovel of dirt" pic being quite that tall, more like 8-9 feet maybe? Either way, I don't really care; I'm not waiting in line for a pic with one either way! LOL But I do think they might look pretty cool walking around--like a parade or a short pop-up performance kind of thing, if not a M&G.

If they can do Baby Groot, they can do a giant blue alien.

I think baby Groot is a lot easier. You can go to Target and get a somewhat similar talking/dancing baby Groot. A tall lifelike Avatar would be hard to pull off correctly

Universal have Transformers that obviously are not to scale but very impressive, if Disney wanted to the will find a way to do it

That was edited into the picture.

Can do one and want to do one are 2 different things.
It's obviously possible in many ways.
But for whatever reason they have said they do not want to have one out in the parks.
Maybe they'll change their minds

What?? They aren't using an actual giant blue construction crew??

Yeah, I was pretty sure that was edited. I assumed Disney edited it to Cameron's specifications.

The thing is it would have to be realistic and whenever you put something on stilts it gets much much harder to make a humanoid look realistic with stilts. One reason is where the bend in the knee happen. It would not be proportionately right. Universal gets away with transformers because they are not actual height and they are robots. It is much easier to hide issues in a clunky robot then in a muscular slim built alien. If we ever see a Na'vi meet and greet it will be animatronic or stationary stature like K2SO was for galactic nights.

Even if they don't move, I'd like to see a few statues just for the sense of scale. I've seen plenty of Na'vi cosplayers at cons so I have little need to see humans in make-up, but it'd be cool to see just how big they really are, or get to handle some na'vi scale tools (mock knives, bowls, etc). IIRC the Avatar display at the Chicago sci-fi museum had some of this stuff, but you couldn't touch anything.
