Most fairs add new things and expand their fairs every year. There is something new for everyone every year. I encourage those who have not been to the NY one before to give it a chance. It really is one of the best ones I have been too. Plus, it's a great excuse to see the Hudson Valley in the summer for vacation.
Cool. I think some of the same acts are at the NYRF. Your local one looks like another one I should check out in the future. Just an FYI, the New York Renaissance Fair also does a Forest of Fear during the month of October as well:
Well...I went to nyrf in 1984 and my only memory is the giant chess game... the one here in Yuma is expensive and advertising is bleak..so not particularly interested.
... and the Canterbury Fair in Silverton Oregon... have to give them a lot of credit... from a grass field to a true forest setting..we went to the first forest faire.. environment was fun but then we moved to Yuma and now to have a shuttle...in Oregon... that is a good sign
