will WL allow me to curl up on the sofa in front of the fireplace and sleep?

We are flying down Fri to FL and wont know until we get off the plane if we have a roof over our heads! If the cruise is cancelled will the Wilderness Lodge let my family sleep on the coaches in front of their fireplace? After all, it is our "home"

don't they have to tell you a few days before - I mean they always ask for the your phone number?

kinda but hey it is our "home" and if DCL cancels our cruise they should let us sleep somewhere!
Yes I would be hoping for a room.

Nope - we have been told by DCL that they can cancel up till Friday. By then we will have already flown to Orlando, we're leaving our house Thurs.

I checked my member guidebook and couldn't find the number of points for the couch by the fireplace. I would imagine that it has a waitlist anyways for this time of year.;)

Good luck.

Barb....Hey, give it a shot! Those rockers look pretty comfy there!!;)

Actually, I thought this was your new strategy to be able to get the first room request of the day so you'd get your various requests filled! :p

There is no way you would be able to sleep in the lounge. I really like another think you must be joking. Common areas are for every guest to enjoy. They will find you a room somewhere I am sure. Just hope you do not get sick on the cruise.

They set sail yesterday, why would you think they would cancel your cruise?

because there are already reports that the 11/23 cruisers are now getting sick
how many times will Disney keep sailing with sick cruisers?

Not sure where these reports are coming from, but, given the fact that the media went nuts over the initial outbreak, one would think that if there were new cases they would be all over it.
As of two minutes ago, CNN, ABC and NBC have no reports on it.

Gail---You don't really believe ABC owned by Disney would go nuts over this story would you?? At any rate there were 100 to 200 passengers sick on the last sail of the Magic. It is my understanding that some 25 or so are sick on the latest sailing!! Disney has been know to keep these kind of things under wrap.

USA Today is reporting at least 60 passengers are sick on the Magic. The CDC hasn't identified the virus yet, but should know by the end of the week.

I doubt there has been any cruise without at least 25 passengers having flu symptoms at some time during the trip.

Disney (and every other cruise line) will keep sailing with sick cruisers as long as people get on board with any illness.

Further cruise discussion should be continued on the Cruise Board as this is not a DVC topic.

Don't underestimate the power of the disgruntled acquisitionees. NBC, owned by GE, used to (and probably still does) love to break the news GE. Given that, I think Disney has a much tighter control of things in their empire. :)

You know, if I had only mentioned looking at ABC, I could see your point, but, I did mention a few other places that tend to get reports, like CNN, HNN etc.
If the OP can find this out, don't you think HNN and CNN might too? They made a huge to do over it before, and I doubt they would let another opportunity go by.
