Will We Make Our CRT Dinner ADR?

We're landing at MCO at 3:45, taking ME to POR, and I just snagged a dinner ADR at CRT for 6:50pm. Is that cutting it too close, or will we be fine? I'm figuring we should make it to the resort by 5:30, but we've never stayed there before, and we're not booking a preferred room, so we could be pretty far from the bus stop. I just hope we make it!

I do not suggest cutting it this close with a prepaid reservation. Your flight could be delayed or there could be transportation problems on the ground. If you're on DDP it'll be a no-show fee, but if you're not it's paid in full.

I make it a rule never to book anything that is prepaid or has a no-show fee unless I am scheduled to arrive at least five hours prior to the reservation time.

If everything goes perfectly you should be able to get there, but there isn't much room for less than perfect. If you are running late, take a taxi to the Contemporary and walk to MK rather than wait for the Disney bus.

I agree with Nala, way to close for comfort.

Understandably a good catch for the adr but not at the risk of missing it. That is one you do not want to end up late for, you will have to pay for it or lose 2 credits.

You should always allow 2 hours from airport to getting to your room. Then there is catching the bus and to the park. Nope I would let that one go.

If it was an ADR without a prepay or no show fee then I would say you should be okay. However, if anything should go wrong then you would be out the money in this case. I would not plan an ADR like this on my arrival day personally and, even if I did, I would book it at closer to 5 hours post arrival.

Yeah, I am going to agree with the previous posts. There are just too many factors that you can't control...flight arrival time, baggage claim (assuming you are checking something), travel to hotel, check-in line at hotel, room distance to bus stop, bus travel time, park entry time, rush to castle time. Plus, being frantic to get to dinner with Cindi is not the best way to start a Disney vacation. Keep trying for another ADR for CRT or try as a walk-up when you get there. Be sure to post your cancellation in the December 2010 cancellation thread...some other family will be quite happy to see this pop-up! :)

Gonna cancel, since we found one at 7:10pm on Jan. 31 :woohoo: I'll post to the January ADR cancellation thread, but I just checked and the 6:50 time is actually still available!
