will we be disappointed with chef mickey's?

We had a great time at Chef Mickey's! The food was fresh and hot, can't ask for much more at a buffet LOL! The charachters spent plenty of time at each table, we did not ever feel rushed. The wait to be seated was not bad, I give it two thumbs up.

The problem is that you really won't know until you try it for yourself. There are CM lovers and CM "not lovers" as you can see.

Case in point, I totally disagree with the person stating that Garden Grille and Cape May were better character interaction. We found it completely opposite. Probably depends on the day you hit it for that stuff sometimes!!!

Personally, for our family, we love Chef Mickey, both atmosphere and food. We think 1900 Park Fair is just a tiny cut above with food offerings, but Chef Mickey is not far behind. We have tried most of the other character meals and feel the rest are just a "cut" below CM. In the end, I really don't know food wise. You will definitely find MANY people who totally disagree with me!!!!!! DH thinks the food there is much better than others, I like the "exciting, fun" atmosphere and can always usually find something to eat anywhere. Not picky.

You won't know til you try it!!!

Other than counter service, CHef Mickey's is the only WDW restaurant we eat at. WE usually go on arrival day, though this year we are going later in our stay.

The food is good, fresh, hot...WE never had any problems with character interactions either.

The kids will love the kids buffet bar and the dessert bar.

We love it. We went this past Saturday and had a great time it was our son's 10th bday. He has celebrated at least 3 birthday's there. Do you think we love the place or what. We have been taking him there since he was born and every trip that is the only place he requests to eat at. Guess what we will be back in October. Yeah, there are some things that people don't like, that is why it is a buffet you pick what you want to eat, and like someone said if you don't like it get up and get something else. I would much rather eat there than at a restraunt where you order one thing and it is horrible and you are stuck with it. We wouldn't miss it. Have yourself a wonderful time and enjoy.
