Just had an email from MouseSavers. They are predicting a rise, might be worth buying this week if you are going in next few months.

This was what they said
"Ticket Prices Expected to Go Up on Sunday

For the past several years Walt Disney World and Disneyland ticket prices have gone up on the first Sunday in August. Now is the time to purchase tickets for upcoming trips! "

We have just beaten the increases past few years, buying around 1-5th August.
Might not affect UK tickets but could if you are buying US tickets.

My DH works for Kodak and was advised by the Employee Benefits lady in the US to buy this month to avoid a price hike. He took her advice and they arrived today.

How long are your tickets valid for once brought??

What is the best way for a person from the UK to get PAP vouchers?

Thanks
AP's can only be bought direct from Disney. Only discounts are for DVC members, Cast members and renewals.

Depends on which ticket, UK tickets check with the sellers website usually valid until end of year, this site selling either 2009 or 2010 tickets http://www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk/walt-disney-world-florida/index.htm

US(Magic your Way) have no expiry, see 1st box on this page http://www.mousesavers.com/wdwtixdiscounts.html

We bought a ticket for DMIL at Xmas from Virgin, that voucher was valid for 60 days from being issued.

You pay the price at booking, I booked last year for this August, ticket prices risen since but we still paid what we booked at.

Bought ours on Wednesday from Orlando Attractions....

They arrived this morning....actual tickets....:banana::woohoo::banana:

Got our tickets from Orlando Attractions too....14day ultimate and Flex Ticket :cool1:

I will ring member services today to get my DVC Annual Pass so that I still get it at the old price. I had originally planned to get it next pay day, but $20 buys a few new pins.

It really is amazing how Disney try to "justify" increasing ticket prices at a time when people have less money to spend.

Two years ago they brought forward their price rise from January to the previous August (meaning they managed to get THREE price rises in the space of 20 months) by blaming guidebooks for needing price information for their annual deadlines (which range from May-July; so, announcing a price rise in AUGUST helped guidebooks how, exactly?).

Now they have the gall to say: "We survey our guests regularly and, in our research, nearly nine out of 10 guests rate the value of our theme parks as good, very good or excellent."

So, the inference from that is, "people think we are good value now, so we are going to continue to squeeze them until they squeak."

Just despicable.

I really did not believe that they would raise the prices. Working in the tourist industry myself and having seen that companies in that field (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.) have been slashing prices over the last year, I did not think anybody would have the audacity to actually raise their's.

Still, I think for me personally, this has actually saved me money. I have been considering whether or not to get an annual pass for ages. After the announcement yesterday, I called Member Services today and bough my annual pass. As I won't pick it up until 10th October, this will see me through 3 holidays (9 days in October, 2 or 3 days pre-cruise stay next April and 2 or 3 days post cruise stay at the beginning of October 2010).
