Rent this time and take the tour with your wife. If she's interested just buy when you're there and use MB to "pay for your trip".
Don't trick her with a miniature contract for which you'll pay hefy closing costs percentage-wise. You won't gain anything and I don't think your wife will like it. It doesn't make sense.
