We are staying at POR and we have reservations at O'hana at 9:35 pm and Magic Kingdom closes at 8:00 pm that night. Will we be able to take a bus from POLY to Downtown Disney then to POR? I wasn't sure how late the buses from Downtown Disney run to the resorts.

Thanks!!!

Yes that would work.
Another plan, much quicker would be to walk to the TTC (or ride the monorail) and then catch a bus to POR.

Of course if you wanted to go to DTD then you could. Buses run from there well past 11pm. (which is most closing times for the stores).

There are no buses to or from resorts at the TTC. If the MK transportation is still running, you'd have to go to the park itself and catch the POR bus from the MK bus stops.

At that time of night, I vote for a taxi. Yes, it will cost you but by the time you get seated and eat it will be close to 11 pm at night. Especailly if you have an early morning planned the next day, get at taxi home.

Is there a specific taxi service to use on WDW property? I have never used a taxi service b/f at Disney.

Thanks!

Just go to the Bell Services desk at the Poly and they will call you a cab. Usually, there are cabs waiting in front of each hotel already. If there isn't, there will be one there quickly. We do this often and it's well worth the $20 to avoid that bus ride and changeover at DTD.

How late do buses typically run between Downtown Disney and the Disney resorts? Do they run as frequently as buses that run between the parks and resorts?

I don't think they run until 2 AM anymore. I think it's more like 1.

And if you don't have a lot of time, don't take that route. If you go the DTD route, you should expect it to take some time. It appears the later it gets, the less frequently the buses run, but as far as I can tell they don't run all that frequently to DTD anyway. Nothing like you'd get at park opening or closing time.
