Will this ticket situation cause issues?

I have never had to deal with a circumstance like this and don't know if it will cause problems.
We have existing Platinum AP's which will expire at the end of May. Since we bought the original passes we have become DVC members eligible for the DVC Gold pass. I wanted to get the 13 month special as we have trips planned for October of 2017 and fall of 2018.
I bought the DVC passes today, will it cause issues if I link the exchange certificates while I have the current AP's or will it not matter since they are certificates? I have had times where we had AP's and tickets and had to go to Guest Services to prioritize our passes, will this be similar?

1. Nope.
2. It'll be fine.
3. An AP certificate cannot be used at a park gate until you actually go to a ticket booth or Guest Relations and "activate" it..
