Will This Costume Be A Problem For MNSSHP?

Just saw this was an old thread. WHY do people dig this stuff up?? Make a new thread if you want to ask a new question for yourself.

It's an oldie but a goodie, and very appropriate for this time of year... I don't mind a "recycled" thread when it hits on a good theme...

I still say start a new one. ;)

Ah, but it's called the "Sexy Adult Miss Edward Scissorhands Costume"...

Do you think that's appropriate for a family venue?

TBH, costume websites throw "sexy" on everything. For example, this costume now says "sassy adult" (probably due to protests from customers considering the character depicted) instead of "sexy adult" but when I bought it a few years ago, sexy is exactly what it was advertised as. I assure you, sexy it was not. (In person, it didn't even make it to "cute." I don't recommend that costume to anyone.) http://www.costumediscounters.com/w...y-sesame-street-big-bird-costume-DI11469.html

I'm not even getting "sassy" out of that photo... more like "flapper"... if it weren't for the Big Bird beanie, that is.

With all due respect, the costume looks like something a dominatrix with a blade fetish would wear - Not particularly Disneyesque!

This may be an old thread but the content is useful at this time of year. My costume advice would be - If you wouldn't wear it to a five year olds birthday party, then it's probably not suitable for Disney!

The scissorhands would not make it through the bag check area and the style of costume may very well be called into question.

Best play it safe and go with costumes that do not warrant second thoughts about suitability :thumbsup2

Obviously either the CMs at the gate were lax the night we went last year or people hid costumes and put them on after they got in.

We saw a guy with his severed bloody head in his hand, with eyes that glowed red in the dark, lots of blood where his head should have been, it even freaked me out.

And we saw young women in costumes appropriate for the Playboy Mansion Halloween party, including a very, very short nurse's skirt with a thong under it.

Disney's missing a market here somewhere... :rotfl2:

Goodness gracious. I really hope I don't see anything like this at the party this year. How do these people not feel creepy walking around children in that stuff?

PP gave great advice...if it's not appropriate for a 5 year old's party, it's not appropriate for Disney!

That is a very good rule. My OH wanted to go Zombie but I said no as I feel it is just not appropriate.

Plus he'll get his Zombie fix at HHN (I know we cant dress up there)

He has compromised with a Zombie on a tee. Lol.
