Does anyone know if there will be a spot to anchor a tent at the sites in the 1300 loop since I was just reading about bigger concrete pads? We will have our TT but we will have some friends on our site in a tent....but we are concerned there will be no place for them to put it now with all of the "improvements"

If you put it on a very back corner, you could at least anchor down 3 corners. Other than that, I'm not sure.

If you are not happy with the "improvements" you can always try to downgrade from a Premium to a Preferred site. The preferred sites still have the larger tent pad on them.

We stayed on Premium during christmas. Our site had no where you could stake down a tent. We could have done it in the back but it wouldn't be level. As posted before try and get a preferred site and then you will have a place to stake down tent.

We are booked as a preferred, I refused to pay the money for a premium, but I didnt know if that whole loop would be premium sites. We are part of a grand gathering and we are all going to be camping together. Just a questions, thanks for your info.

I saw several folks in tents in 500 at Christmas, but I suspect these were all dome tents that don't really need to be staked to stand. If yours will freestand and you are just worried about them blowing away you could always drive stakes on either side of the pad and run taut ropes between them and tie the tent to the ropes. Or, as others have suggested, try downgrading to preferred -- save $10 a day and some hassle (or full and save $15, or partial to save $29-33!).

Thanks Shan....our friends just bought a dome tent, so hopefully that will work. I will make sure that we bring extra rope. Like I said, we have a preferred booked, so we are hoping that there is room. Also, just out of curiosity, will all of the sites have the new square picnic tables?

No, ours didn't in Dec anyhow. They may just be slow in upgrading them, but we saw very few of them around.

If you booked a preferred, then you won't be in 1300 as that Loop as been upgraded to Premium. Even if you are a Grand Gathering, if folks in your group have different levels of sites booked, then you won't be in the same Loop.

The current Preferred Loops are 100, 200, and 300, 600, 700.

thanks for the info about the loops. We are all booked as preferred, maybe I have the loop number wrong. I guess we will see when it gets closer. My main concern is having a spot for the tent. I guess I will be calling wdw tomorrow..:thumbsup2

Since you're in a preferred you should be totally fine, but I'd definitely let FW know you need room for a tent too. May have some bearing on what site they assign you.

And yes, all the sites in a particular loop have the same classification.

Good luck and have a great trip! :goodvibes

Only the premium sites have the new style picnic tables. For 10 per night the premiums are much better for me. I like the extra concrete and new picnic tables

The extra concrete is great because now there is now lip under my rugs to trip on when i have had one too many beers. LOL

Also i don;t bring that coquina rock and sand home with us in the mo ho.

I will always be staying in the premiums. But that is just my preference.
