Will the parks be any better at night?

We'll be there in March and there are late hours at MK and Extra evening hours at some parks. Will they be any less crowded then? Do a lot of people leave at 5 or 6? (We always did with the kids.) Or when there is extra evening hour, does everyone flood that one park?

I made PS at DS one evening and am wondering if the lines will be shorter after dinner.
Thanks.

I think it depends.
When we there 2003 Christmas, it was very crowded during the day, so bad that my children were begging to leave. However we planned our mornings well at the parks and left aruond lunch time, when more people poured in. We often went back at night after 5 and there was a mass exit at that time it seemed. I took my daughter Christmas Eve to MK and we did not wait more than 10-15 minutes on most rides. We rode Splash Mtn. back to back that night and rode Thunder Mtn. twice in a row without any wait. I'm not sure how it will be with the late night hours or EMH, but I imagine people with smaller children are not going to be there in droves as the kids wear out, at least mine do.

We went in March last year--- it was during the height of spring break season. MK was open until 11pm most nights. Personally, I found it didn't really clear out until closer to 9-9:30pm. Pretty much right after Wishes it got pretty empty.

I, like lots of other people visiting WDW, don't like to wake up early during my vacation. I don't want to move out of that bed before 11am by day 3 at the parks. So, with that frame of mind, I can see where EMH at night would be much more popular than EMH in the morning. Now, this is assuming that the weather is warm and dry.

I can see where EMH at night might not be as popular at night, if it is raining or if it is cold. Families with little kids are not as willing to keep the little ones out when the weather stinks.

I am planning to see AK on the night time EMH in December. I can't wait to see the park with lights on at night. I think the dino area would even be pretty nifty...kind of like the old time cheezy carnival environment that it's meant to evoke....seeing with the lights on at night, would make it like a more realistic experience....at least for me. I just hope the Animals can stand us all being there a few hours longer. Maggie

My experience is that it is crowded in the evenings. The only time it is not crowded is the first hour or so a park opens.
