Will the kids still be cute after 6 days of 24/7? Updated -- Post 426, P 29

I am finally caught up here! What a great trip you have planned, and I just love that you are surprising the girls Kathy! That will be a very fun moment!!!

I hope you enjoy OKW Mary - Joe and I fell in love with it. We didn't expect to, but it's so beautiful, it's hard not to! :goodvibes

I will do replies tomorrow...I'm exhausted today...busy shopping, laundry, getting new tires on car and draining two days after our dear friends lost their daughter.

But I had to stop by and say we are UNDER 20 days until we are at OKW and Disney.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Mary

Sorry to hear about the loss. :guilty:

Huzzah for being under the 20 day mark!!!! I'm getting jealous!

First I just have to share how pathetic I am. Katie is doing her homework on my laptop so I am reading DIS updates on my nook, but since I can't reply that way I am using my cell phone. So sad!:rotfl:surfweb::

Kathy you defitely should stock up on paper plates and plasticware, then the boys can just toss the dishes!

Mary I love the girls matching outfits. Did you spend Christmas day at Disney? Was it strange not being home? How fun! That is on our bucket list....

I hope everyone gets and stays healthy!!

I finally made it over and I can't believe you're on page 15....oh wait....yes I can....Miss Popular:hug:

Sounds like a great trip my friend...and I think there is no better way to celebrate 5 years cancer free....my love to you!

I can't believe I am a month late:scared1:

Kathy, it looks like you have a great trip planned. It will be such nice surprise when the girls see you in the airport. The Plaza, Beaches and Cream, Sci-fi.. sounds like DH's dream adr line up.

Mary- love seeing all of the pictures of the girls. They are so beautiful:) It is so nice to have the memories each year and to watch them grow up in the pictures.

Thanks so much, they still like to be matchy matchy. We were there Dec 16-26th. We spent Christmas morning at AK then ventured to Epcot for dinner at Via Napoli. It was a little strange not being with family-we are rarely "home". It was a fun experience-would love to do it again soon.

Thanks very much! It really has been fun seeing all the pics from all the different trips! More pics coming up! Thanks for being here!

Next up was a Mommy/Girls trip in March/April of 2011 to celebrate Avery's 7th bday. We were very fortunate to be able to overlap with friends on this trip. Girls had a really fun time hanging out with their buddies and I am always happy to see Leanne. Our new friend Cindy was also a spectacular additon

This was the trip that I decided to leave my DSLR at home. never again. I bought a Nikon P&S for the trip but it was just not the same.

That's the trip that I first met you Mary!!! When the little one rode Splash with me! She was too cute!! My son has a crush on Lindsey....that night at Epcot in Sept with the big meet, we were hanging out with Lindsey and Joe's mom, and the kids just had a blast!! Lindsey was hitting Tyler with every single foam sword around the WS!!! I was tired and hurting that night, which was why I wasn't very sociable. Isn't it funny how lives can intertwine, and one website can bring us all together?? I've made some awesome lifelong friends on here!!!

Wow -

I got behind on the pics. Mary - that last montage of pictures is wonderful. Those girls are so darn cute and they NEVER take a bad picture. I really enjoyed seeing all of them.

Kathy -

You and your slush! (or two). Make sure you have a third for me! :rotfl:

If you do move your trip to Nov. I don't want to miss you guys this time. Keep me posted.:thumbsup2

Sorry, Dawn. We were able to work out our September dates. But if we ever get that mini trip into New York, I will let you know.

I hear you on that one. Going in the winter is tough that way, you have to pack a little bit of everything. Obviously, layers work well.

Yeah, I'm thinking a few lightweight turtlenecks to wear under t-shirts, etc.

Kat, run them girls good!! They've gotten soooo big since I first met them. That was spring of last year I believe, and one rode with me on splash mtn for her first time, it was priceless!!! I love seeing Disney thru the eyes of the little ones!!!

As for the Dr's, it is a $$ thing. Don't let them push you around. I have SOOOO many dr's to keep up with, and all they want is the $$. ESPECIALLY the MDA dr. I'll keep praying for Markie, and be strong for your baby!! That's the hardest thing a mom can do!!!

I'm afraid the girls will "run" me good.

Three more days...and we'll hopefully have some asnwers about Markie.

plans look great ladies and the girls, as always are SO adorable. Fun to see the year over year changes in the girls! Very happy Caley is feeling better and that at least Markie will have the MRI before you go.

Thank you, Cynthia. They are adorable, aren't they?

Lots of dates floating around !!! I am completely unsure of when I will go this year !!It will either be May/June or Sept/ Oct , then we also have Universal to go to !! When the new Trip Books arrive I will see if they did indeed add a Christmas trip , well an early December one !!
Glad Cayley is feeling better !!!

Our dates are now set: September 14 - 21

your epcot plans look great! i can't wait to be back there! :goodvibes

Thanks, Ali.

Hey Kathy, I am late to the party and probably won't post like I'd like to (not having access to a computer all day at work stinks) but just want to say the plans look fun, the pictures are awesome and you gals will have so much fun!

Hope you get answers on Markie soon, I am so sorry I didn't know any of this was going on.

I am ordering no snow in Chicago the day you leave or come back!

Thanks, Amy (I've missed you). Hopefully we'll know by the end of the week on Markie after his tests on Wednsday.

Thanks for the "no" snow order. :goodvibes

Doctors can be so frustrating. Before I was even on medicare they required me to see the doctor each month. He only saw peritoneal dialysis patients 1 day a month at the Peoria office. Before medicare required that I see him I could just see the nurse if I had a date conflict. I also only saw the doctor every other month. After medicare made that requirement, if I coudln't see him on that 1 date I would have to go to his Morton office, which was an extra 15-20 minutes away (it was already a 45 minute drive)

Now I have something else going on...(non-kidney related, and minor) with a different doctor. He only does surgery on Mondays. I saw him yesterday to book my procedure. He couldn't do it next monday or the 16th, he wanted to schedule me the 23rd, but I fly out on the 24th and we didn't like that idea, I won't be back on the 30th, so we are scheduled for the 6th. Well, he can not do a surgical procedure if he hasn't "laid eyes on me" within 30 days.....feb 6th will be 31. So now I have to go let him "lay eyes on me" on the 1st just because of that 1 days difference. :sad2:

But between now and then is a Disney trip so all is good! :thumbsup2

Tanya, that is crazy that the doctor is making you come in because of one day. MONEY MONEY MONEY! And this is why our insurance rates keep going up.

Sorry about your draining day !!:hug:But:yay::yay::yay:for 20 days !!!!!

Thanks, Rosie. Just an emotional time with Courtney's passing.

My ticker says 17 days--wow, don't know how that happened.

Hi, Brook. I am so looking forward to surprising the girls. Like I said earlier, I just hope they aren't disappointed that it's NOT Andy. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think Mary will like OKW.

Sorry to hear about the loss. :guilty:

Huzzah for being under the 20 day mark!!!! I'm getting jealous!

I don't know where the time went...this trip has snuck up on me and I've just now started making a packing list.

So sorry to hear about your friends daughter.

You are so close to going back. :cool1:

MaryEllen, that is too funny. I can't imagine trying to read on one thing and reply on another...way beyond me.

Thanks for the reminder...paper plates on the grocery shopping list.

Diane, I'm so glad you found us. This is going to be such a different trip for me, but I know it will be great.

Yes, you DH would like those places...lots of burger choices.

Under 20!!!! So exciting!!! I am very sorry for the loss of your friends daughter. So very sad.

Mary, it is just so sad; Gail (the mother) is so lost...I'm very worried about her.

My ticker says 17 days...just over two weeks.

These pictures are awesome. Are you going to post the last trip's pics too? I can't wait to see how much the girls have grown in four months.

Kathy -

You and your slush! (or two). Make sure you have a third for me! :rotfl:

I will be sure to have a third one for you, MEK. :goodvibes

The girls are so cute -- I can't wait to see the pictures of them on this trip!

Me too, Glenn. I hope Mary has the camera ready when I arrive to meet them at the food court. :)

So sorry to hear about your friends daughter.

You are so close to going back. :cool1:

Thanks, Pat. I am going to try to do our "going home" update and then start working on my packing list.

As for our friend, it is such a sad story. Mark wrestled with Clayton since they were 10 years old, so we've know the family 13 years. Mark and Clayton are very close. Clayton's sister was in the US Air Force. She got home from deployment a few months ago. From what I understand, she committed suicide on Wednesday of this past week. I don't have a lot of details and no one seems to know why. Her mom and dad saw her in November and she seemed fine. The mother is besides herself; I am very worried about her. I will say that despite the fact that we all have our "favorite" wrestling team in Illinois and things can get tense and bitter between teams, the whole wrestling "family" has come out and support this family. If the wake is on Thursday, we will make the 3-1/2 hour drive to where they are from to attend the service (if it is Wednesday we cannot go because my DH has a show in town).

How horrible. My heart goes out to you and the family.:hug:

I think we have no idea how US Service Men and Women deal with coming home and the adjustments. Too many stories like this I am afraid.

I am so sorry.

Oh goodness Kat, this is so very sad. How tragic and just awful for her family. If only someone knew that she was suffering, perhaps she could've been helped before it was too late. I'm so sorry to hear this and my heart goes out to you and her family. How is Markie coping? I think it's wonderful that the wrestling family is comforting and supporting this poor family too.
