Just wondered if there will be a post here once or IF entertainment rate dates are available for summer for HOJOs? Not sure if I should just keep checking the HOJOs website under Discounts or here? Thanks!

Sigh, we visit DLR about once per month and I have yet to ever stay at HOJO's because of the high cost. Each trip I check all the deals and codes I can find but after a couple years, I'm about to give up on HOJO's!

Our next trip is April 21st-24th. Tried LNAP and LKAP codes with best rate of $115 being offerred. Thats about all I've ever seen on each trip I've tried.

Any tricks I've missed? Will probably use Priceline or Hotwire to get a 3 or 3 1/2 * Harbor hotel such as Hilton, Sheraton, Red Lion, Crowne etc. for $50-$60 but would sure love to try HOJO's just once!!

Those are both of the codes I have used as well. I don't think there are any other ways. Maybe one will come out in June that you can use! Once per month is a dream!!

I never try with codes, I always check the thread regarding the Ent Rate on their discussion board section, that's where I would suggest to start. HoJoAnaheim.com, click on discussion boards, go to discounts and you will find an entire thread regarding the Ent Rate....you simply cannot beat that hotel for $59, $69, $79 or $99 a nite!

$59 or so would be great but is HOJO's better than the Hilton, Red Lion, Crowne Plaza, Doubletree etc. for about the same price using similar promo codes, specials etc.? If we bring kids I'd say yes because of the great pool area. The new Toy Story lot makes walking from many other resorts to the buses easy.

So, is it now almost the same amount of time from those resorts you listed to the parks or bus area now? I'm going to have to find out where this new lot is. Thanks for the info.

For us absolutely. But everyone has to make that determination for themselves. Even when we've gone without kids we've enjoyed the HoJo, the staff has always been great, the rooms are great and the walking distance is unbeatable. We've stayed at the Red Lion (before it was RL) and the CP and while both are nice hotels we much prefer the HoJo. And we've never been able to get those prices at any of the hotels you've listed. I know people have/do, using Priceline is a great way to get a great deal on one of those hotels but that isn't something we like to do, we usually have the kids with us and PL only guarantees room for 2 people...won't work for us.

From those Convention Hotels you are looking at about 15 minutes to gates by taking the Toy Story Shuttle. Because the shuttle takes about 10 minutes, and you can get on one immediatly so far. 5 minutes walk from the hotels, grants CP is closer just giving an idea of time. In the 10 minuts is 2 minutes walking from the DL drop off to gates. Total time spent walking about 7 minutes.

Hojo is about 7 minutes walking to the gates.

The road into the Convention center, that runs west to east, serves the Hilton, Marriot and Crown Plaza. If you took it to where it meets Harbor Drive and go strait through the intersection you would drive into the TS Lot. Red Lion is just north of the TS Lot.

That is true about Priceline although its never been a problem for us. I use Hotwire as well although the price is somewhat higher. Our last HW deal was for the Radisson near Knotts. Large suite with seperate living room with its own sofa bed, tv and mini-kitchen. Included free hot breakfast. Paid $75. HOJO seems to always come up at $115 or above with cheapest codes used. I've heard about the ENT rate for $59 but very few days a year offer that rate. I keep checking though!

I don't find that very few days a year offer the $59 rate at all...in fact, if you look at my sig (and maybe you remember) we went to DLR 16 times from Jan 09-Jan 10, we only used our timeshare twice in that time period, we stayed at the AP once, at a Ramada once, at the CP twice, at the PPH once and I would say the rest of our visits were at the HoJo, using the $59 rate. So I would estimate that at least 8-9 of our trips to DL were at the HoJo and we ONLY use the $59 rates, those were visits of at least 2-3 each and one was in July for 4 nights......maybe you just have to get lucky and check at the right time, maybe I was lucky. lol :) I wouldn't stay at the HoJo for $115 a night....I'd be staying at the Tropicana or BWPPI or even onsite for that rate. :)
I've never tried Hotwire....I'll have to check it out. :)
