Will the car rental shuttles drop you at a park after you return the rental car?

Does anyone know the answer? This is my third time trying to ask. We hope to rent a car for one day and I know the shuttle will pick you up, but will they also drop you somewhere after you return the car?
Also where are there car rental companies close to WDW that provide shuttles. I know about National and Alamo at the Car Care Center and Dolphin. I guess there is a Budget in Downtown Disney???? Is this easy to get to? Any other companies easy to get to?

I think the Car Care Center is the only one that provides a shuttle. I didn't ask when I got picked up, but I would be very surprised if they did take to the parks, just because of the parking gates, etc. If you rent at the Dolphin, then you could just walk to either Epcot or MGM; if you want to go to MK, I'd have them drop me off at the Contemporary.

The number for the National at Car Care Center is 407-824-3470--the people I spoke to on the phone there were very nice.

i don't know about budget, but when we rented from national/alamo and we wanted to go to MK after returning our car, we simply dropped at the dolphin and took the bus to MK... easy as could be!

if budget is in dtd, i would think you could walk to the dtd bus stop and grab a bus to wherever you want to go on property, no?

I called the Car Care Center and the person I spoke to said the shuttles had to pick you up and drop you off at the same place. Anyone have any experience with this? I would like to get picked up at ASMO and the next morning I would like to go to MK at opening. So was the person on the phone wrong? Will they pick me up at ASMO and drop me off at MK (or even Contemporary). It would kind of mess up the day to have to go back to ASMO. OR is the Car Care Center within walking distance of MK? I would think that if you wanted to go to MK from the CCC, you could just ask to go to the CR. You have to understand that the CCC shuttle isn't a 'transportation' system...just a convienient way for you to get back and forth to the CCC. Is your entire family planning on going on the shuttle with you? Or are you plannning on meeting up with them at the park?

You cannot walk from the CCC to anywhere (OK except for teh Hess gas station next door ).

I've never rented from the CCC; but, unless it is a recent policy change about dropping you off at the same resort, there have been many posts over the years saying they got dropped off at a park (or even DTD) by the shuttle.

I would think they would drop you someplace else other than where they picked you up at. What would happen if you rented a car on a Sat, their shuttle picked you up at POP. Then mid-way through your trip you changed resorts and you are now at BC. They should be able to return you to BC, even though it isn't where you started out.

If you want to go to a park they usually bring you to TTC. In the past we have been picked up at Epcot and our resort.

We prefer using the Dolphin location.. when you drop off your car they have valet..just hand the keys over.. you can then take a bus to MK/AK or you can walk/boat over to EPCOT & MGM.

*Also check your rates... I looked into getting a car for a day at the Dolphin and it was only $10 more to have it for 4 days. (Bjs codes) Weekend rental Thurs-Sun

unless things have changed in last year. I was picked up at Pop Century had care for day and returned it to CCC and THEIR shuttle dropped me off at TTC so I could get to MK.

If that's what you're being told, then apparently that's their policy and that's what you should expect. You can ask the shuttle driver to drop you at the TTC, and she/he probably will, but you should also be prepared to have to ride the shuttle back to All Star Movies and take the bus from there.

So what do you need to do to get picked up by the shuttle? Make arrangements ahead of time, or just call up when you are ready to get or drop off your car?

I believe you should call ahead to set up a pick up time. If you want to be picked up early in the day, then call the night/day before. If pick up is for later in the day, then call that morning.
