Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

Alright, let's talk about things I didn't do.

I didn't eat a cinnamon bun for breakfast this morning.

I didn't meet Jack Sparrow in Adventureland and kidnap him for Tink.

I didn't have a slushy margarita in Mexico.

I didn't watch my son go running full tilt at the favorite character of his choice thereby ensuring the perfect photo opportunity.

But guess what?

I WILL BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao:

So the vacay is paid in full. I booked the 930 flight. It's reasonable. Not desirable, but reasonable. And brought my total airfare for the trip to $777. And although I paid a lot less last year, that to me, also seems reasonable. And gets me a full 7 day vacation. And really, that's a blessing in and of itself.

Once it occurred to me that I could do all of those Magic Kingdom things I had planned for Sunday morning on Saturday during the day, it sort of became a no brainer. And we'll figure out the transport from the airport. I'm not worried, folks.

Because

I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :woohoo: :woohoo:

pirate: pirate: pirate: A pirate's life for three is cleared for take off.:goodvibes

I'd go with the earlier flight also.

If you buy tickets for the earlier flight and the price of the later flight decreases significantly, is it possible to switch flights without paying a ton of money? You could book the earlier flight and keep checking prices of the later flight.

From CampbellScott's TR to TK's ear. LOL

You know I'd seen them there before, but totally forgot about it until she mentioned them!:goodvibes

I am so saying this in my head with one of those oh-so-serious-pilot-sounding voices!!!

And doing this for you!

pixiedust: party: pixiedust:

Your day can't get any better, can it? And it's only 10:00! :goodvibes

Thanks! I'm excited! Can you tell? :yay:

We must have been posting at the same time.

I booked it!:goodvibes

There's a post up there a bit.

:jumping1: Congrats!!!!!

Thanks! I feel good.

And much, much calmer.

I also forgot to point out that because of only paying $777 for airfare, I have a decent amount left in the vacation savings, so I don't have to scramble so much to come up with spending money... ::: phew :::

Doesn't it feel so great to know that everything is paid for and ready to go?

That works out perfectly!!!

Yay for choosing a flight time!

I agree, it has some stinky aspects, but I think the first time is really the best way to go, for all the reasons Tink and others elucidated. :goodvibes

::ahem::

Get on that.

;)

A pirate's life for three is cleared for take off.

::cue high-pitched, nasally stewardess voice::

Good morning DISpassengers. The pirate, ahem, pilot has been cleared for departure and has turned on both the seatbelt and no pillaging signs. Please turn any electronic devices and all compasses that don't point North into the OFF postion. Please make sure all booty, wenches and rum is properly stowed beneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins. In addition, please make sure all seats are in their fully upright position, all tray tables are locked and any and all wooden eyes have been secured in their sockets. Thank you!

Yes, apparently I did some elucidation.

Kudos to Jiri for today's $10 word!!!!

It's about time that English degree got me something!

...Well, other than a job, I mean. Which is more than it does for a lot of people, so I can't complain too much.

:thumbsup2

How is Southwest? I've never used them.

Personally, I feel you can't go wrong with Southwest. More often that not, the service is friendly, they're great with kids, and now they have the no fee thing going for them. :thumbsup2

WINKY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Woo Hoo!!:cheer2:

That's all that matters! I always love having everything booked. It makes it feel so real!

A fine pedicure!

DSCI0254-1.jpg

So excuse the severe lack of shaping and polish. Sadly, my poor toes are lacking. Lacking the wonderful shimmery color palette I normally sport during the summer. For which I have not yet attained the time. Since I do my own nails, and am busy with 50 million other things like the daily quote and moment of zen.;) I am reminded of another movie quote right now..."She really needs to sort out her priorities."

So the Tevas have arrived.

I was nervous.

I had been burned by shoes before.

Oh lord will the movie references never cease!

Ahem...

I've had a lot of shoe drama. So much so that it was time for a shoe hiatus. I know, the horror.

So far, I like them.

Dare I say even, that my feet went, "ahhhhhh....."

Oh yes. I think they did. Just a bit. But I do have a question for all you Teva wearers out there. Does the fabric stretch a bit over time? This is something I've read, and I think maybe even here, but I'm not sure. When I first tried on these lovelies, my right pinky toe was sort of getting lost in the shuffle between the first strap and the second. I've been wearing them around the house a bit, and trying to adjust the straps a bit, and it seems to be going well.

I, however, refuse to commit. NoBatman.

Every time I've said I liked something they've ended up horribly horribly wrong. I don't want these to end up horribly horribly wrong. That should tell you something right there. Non-commitally, of course. ;)

They feel comfortable, and like they actually have arch support. Do I think they'd make it all day touring...meh...not so sure...are they feeling like a comfortable sandal...ye-...wait, that's a commitment. Let's say sort of.;) My only concern is that the fabric would rub after a while, or if my feet swell in the Florida heat (highly likely) it might get a little uncomfortable. However, that's all I'm going to say about that. Because I like them...sort of...maybe...noncommitally, of course.;)
