Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

Had you all fooled right? You all thought I was happy...settled...comfortable even with my ADRs. Shows how little you know about TK, pirate lover, captain of the TK family. Shhh, don't tell DH, I'm sure he thinks he's in charge...nah, actually, I think the man is smart enough to know to let me plan to my little heart's content.

He watches these ADR changes with resolve. Knowing that his 3 month from now meals could change at the drop of a hat, or the whims of his hormonal wife. Don't you just love that time of the month?

Oddly enough, instead of wreaking my venegance on my poor little family due to moodiness and something arriving three days before schedule because if I don't take that darn little pill at the exact same minute, second etc of every day, it throws off my cycle, you get me wreaking havoc on our vacation plans. Oh yes, my friends. ::yes:: I took out all my feminine angst on the non-itinerary itinerary.
I hear ya, Sister. ::yes::
It wept. And said why are you changing me now????

Why?

Because I can! Mwa-ha-ha!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
I imagine it wept in the gingerbread voice from Shrek.

Seriously, folks, I was looking at our plans and they were starting to look too planned. Too much going on. Not enough pirate fly by the seat of your pants go where the wind takes your ship not worry about making it to such and such by certain said time or Davy Jones will release his beastie.

Phew....:lmao:

So here we go folks. The new plans as laid down by TK are as follows.

Sep 14th - Arrival Day
Get there when we get there. No ADRs. Go to whatever park we fancy or stay at the resort and lounge. Remember, we're on vacation!;)

Sep 15th- Coral Reef 530pm

Sep 16th - Chef Mickey's 1120am - MNSSHP

Sep 17th - Brown Derby 1230pm

Sep 18th - Boma 1020am
I started to get a little worried until.....

It all looks comfortingly familiar right...well except that we dropped Artist Point on the first day. But fear not, my intrepid sailors...all is not lost!

Sep 19th - Artist Point 600pm
Phewwwwwwww!
Yup. We ditched the Kona Cafe. Quicker than you can say Teppan Edo = Ginger Sauce = ZZUB in Canada.

It just wasn't making sense to me anymore. I had originally relished the thought of sitting down in that little cafe and eating my Tonga Toast. Now...I'm just not feeling it. I'd rather bask in the comfort of knowing that Artist Point is not on my arrival day, and that I will make it there, and that I've freed up a morning. When I started making my last ADR changes, and switched to Boma for breakfast, it just looked like sooooo much breakfast and lunch, which was good, but my two dinners were two days in a row. This way, we have something to look forward to as we near the end of our journey.
I have to be honest, I am not nearly as excited for Tonga Toast as I am the Pineapple Macadamia Nut pancakes. Though, I already told DF he is ordering the Tonga Toast so I may sample it. :rotfl:
I think you have made the right decision. Pirates don't eat Tonga Toast for breakfast....they drink their breakfast.
Sep 20th - Crystal Palace 1145am - Lapu Lapu Fest - Tink? - Spectromagic 800pm

Sep 21 - Departure Day

So there you have it folks. The ramblings of a mad woman. Mad, I tell you, MAD!!!! :lmao:
We're all mad here!
I feel sooooo much better about this schedule. It's way more flexible than what we had and so much less planned. It puts us at 6 table service for our 8 day vacation, which is much more my style. I'm still thinking we'll pay for the Derby out of pocket. It will give us an extra table service and if we're not able to get in anywhere, we can always switch it to another counter service meal. I believe they did that last year do to the overwhelming bookings in table service restaurants, so although I know nothing stays the same, I'm expecting the same scenario this year.
I think you can do that anyways, I thought I had read somewhere that you can use a table service for counter service.
Poor DH...wait until I tell him I switched our ADRs again.

He'll just shake his head and laugh.:rolleyes1
He won't even know what hit him!! If he's anything like my DF, you will get to WDW on arrival day and he'll get ready to go to Artist Point, even though you already told him that was moved to another day. :lmao:

I imagine it wept in the gingerbread voice from Shrek.
"You're a monster!" :rotfl2:

Oh, I still may partake of the Tonga. TONGA, TONGA, TONGA! I just don't know if perhaps one day after an early morning workout whilst the boys are shhh...sleeping...I'll take a little jaunt over to Captain Cook's and enjoy the proliferous bouqet that is Tonga all by my onesie savvy.

Yes what time does the Lapu Lapu...ahem...I mean, Tambu Lounge open for breakfast eh?;) :lmao:

We're all mad here!
Certifiably.

I said, honey, I changed our ADRs again.

I know, I heard you.

Do you know what I did?

Not really. (Man was half asleep.)

Would you like to know.

Sure.

He's a good pirate, my man.:thumbsup2

"You're a monster!" :rotfl2:
"Not my gumdrop buttons!":rotfl:

Great idea! Can you get Tonga Toast all day??

I don't think so. I believe it's only available for breakfast.

So, I had to reiterate with DH how I changed the plans. He wasn't fully cognizant when I mentioned it this morning, so it was best to review. He gives the plans :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I just checked on allears and it says it is available until 10:30am.
Excellent, plenty of time.

So I have done so much shopping in the past two days I think I've filled my quota for the next several months. And I'll be returning more than half of it, true to form.

Went out with a girlfriend, and in hindsight some of my purchases just weren't smart. Also got DS a swimsuit today, thinking he needed the next size up, and it's huuuuuge so back that goes. I found a cute pair of bermuda shorts in a nice vertical stripe, but I know I can get those at the end of the season for my trip, so no reason to spend $12.58 on them now, kwim?

I'm just shopped out. We went to Kohl's and spent hours looking and trying on, which was fun, but I'm going to return everything I got from there. That whole buyer's remorse thing, you know? And the, would I really, really use this? On the bright side, I did get another tank for DS, so cute, it's got Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on it! It's great, because DH has a ninja turtles shirt in navy with the logo on it, and now DS will have a matching navy tank with the turtles on it. I'm thinking they need to wear these on our trip.:thumbsup2 I love to have my boys match, I think it's adorable. We also ran into Target last minute, and I ended up returning everything I bought there, because I didn't have time to try it on.

I also went to two different grocery stores (close proximity) because one has better pricing in general on produce and such and the other had better sales going on. Plus I had coupons, etc. But I am sick of shopping!!!! Except since I saw some things at Kohl's, I went online to see if I could find them cheaper, and some I did. So I ordered. We'll see. I'll be lucky if I keep two things, know what I mean? And I so needed new work clothes...I placed an order from Chadwick's and the quality was so poor I was actually disgusted when I tried it on. Back it goes.

I have serious shopping drama.:faint:

Goodness gracious!! You do have shopping drama! I always find whenever I go out looking to purchase clothes, I can't find anything. On the other hand whenever I don't have money to purchase clothes, I can find the bargains of the century. It's just not fair. My mom has ordered dresses from Chadwicks and has had good luck. In fact, I believe the dress she got for my wedding and my brother's wedding were from Chadwicks. Have I mentioned that my brother is getting married in September? Hehehe, wedding overload!

I ordered a polo and a tshirt from OldNavy.com this week. I loved them, I think I am going to order a few more for the cruise. I think I can even get away with wearing the polo to work if I dress it up a bit. I can only get the Old Navy plus sizes online and you used to be able to return them at the store but now you can only do it through the mail which is kinda a pain because they use those bags to ship and you can't really reuse them as easily as a box. I've had good luck with them anyways. The shirt I wore to my bridal shower was from there and I got a bunch of "cruise clothes" as well. I hate clothes shopping and since I found OldNavy.com, I have barely gone out to do it. I like shopping from the comfort of my own home.

Side note, it was so hot today, I was afraid my crocs were going to stick to the pavement! :lmao:

First of all, the last thing you need is for your Crocs to melt into the pavement!

Is this true of Old Navy in general, they don't take returns at the store anymore? I haven't ordered from them in quite a while, so I'm not savvy. Maybe I should take a look at their website again. I don't do well with their bottoms, I have a hard time with them fitting right. I have two pairs of dress pants from there and they're a size 12. I always feel sooooooo fat when I wear them to work. To contrast, I have 8s and 10s in Dockers khakis, and they fit great with room to spare. Weird.

I think I was just feeling the heat radiating up from the pavement.

They take regular sizes back in the store still. I think it's because the Women's Plus sizes are only offered online. See, their bottoms run large for me. I had to return a pair of capris and go with a size lower. Hmm. When I used to shop in the store when they had plus sizes and I was smaller. (:rotfl: )I found their pants to run small, so maybe they have smartened up. Who knows. Ladies rather have to buy a smaller size, duuurrrr! I have some of their tops for work, they work well for me. But because I am behind the scenes at the bank they are a little more leniant with our dress code than the tellers.
DF loves their polo shirts as well, because they have tall sizes. He has a long torso but short little legs. Hehehe. My legs are longer than his yet he is taller than me. Very cute.

Do you know what is in a Lapu Lapu? I am just curious and am searching the boards.

I can vouch for that. Our dress code is fairly strict for tellers. Not too bad, but meant to be a professional look. Dress or skirts, dress pants, and blouses, you get the idea. I had been wearing a very nice pair of khakis, I actually had two pairs in different colors. I'd worn them for the past two years, and one day my teller supervisor approached me and told me they were too casual. At least she said, you always look so nice. I do try to look good but still be trendy. I can't even tell you what I'm seen some of my co-workers wear that make me :( I get very, very frustrated when I see someone in you know what kind of lace up boots, albeit nice pants, and a cotton tee. Yes, a nice cotton tee, but still...a cotton tee. And my khakis that I wore with a dress shirt were too casual. Can you tell you've hit my sore spot? :lmao:

I know the bartender told us there's like seven different kinds of alcohol, the primary being rum, but I do not for the life of me remember what it all was.

Mine too! Last year when I started my boss said no sandals of any kind. EVERYONE in the department except my boss and my cubicle mate wore sandals. It even says in the dress code that the operations center is allowed to wear them. I finally approached her this year because my toesies like to breath and she said I could. I mean...some of the night staff were flip flops to work! Grrrr. I don't mind following a dress code, but it needs to be the same for everyone in the department. Some of the night staff come in at Noon so they are there during business hours.

I just hope there is no Vodka. Any amount of Vodka makes LL  Rum and I go waaaaaay back, we're pals.

It's frustrating for me because with the exception of the girl who works every Saturday, I'm the youngest teller. I often wonder if that has anything to do with it. :confused3

Let me google it.

That is frustrating!
I'm checking out Old Navy, right now, I'll let you know if I find anything. I plan to do a whole update about clothes/shoes when all the stuff comes.

I didn't even think of that! D'oh!

Well, I found a locked DIS thread, I think you may need to post a question on the restaurant board to see if someone could point us in the right direction because I can't find it?

I think we are going to place one last order before we go, DF has fallen in love with their boxers. I think they are expensive but he loves them. :rotfl: He feels the way about his boxers that I feel about my crocs.

Cool, let me know how it goes.:thumbsup2
