Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

That's okay. We understand that due to the wedding stress your subconcious mind reaches for your favorite battle cry...

which happens to be winky way.

Coincidence...or thinking about the honeymoon?;)
Bah. That Winky Way is far from the mind. It's just fun to say. :lmao:

See, I can totally envision myself, yelling HALA KAHIKI just to make myself feel better. :lmao:
Umm...try Winky Way, it's fun too. :rotfl2:

Okay, I just said Hala Kahiki, it is very fun to say. And Disney appropriate which is a plus, I do not want a lifetime ban, I would have to move to France so I could go to Disneyland Paris and I highly doubt that you could all come to have DISmeet with the exiled LL, so Hala Kahiki it is. :faint:

I don't think non-DIS board thoughts when I watch him in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In fact, I don't think I even made it through the entire movie.

I am sorry, TK. :worried:

Now, Pirates on the other hand -- very non-DIS board thoughts! :thumbsup2

It's okay, CP. We can't agree on everything, right? See I LOVE Tim Burton, so anything he directs, pretty much, is good with me. And I'm not terribly attracted to the character, but I love Willy Wonka in that movie. He's just an interesting character study and that comes from my theater days.

I can't seem to escape the whole 2 posts thing.

I just have to add: my all-time favorite Johnny Depp movie?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

"We're in bat country."

Cracks me up everytime -- he and Benicio del Toro.

I'll have to admit, I've never seen that in its entirety.

I know.

Let the flaming begin.:lmao:

I love Tim Burton, also. I think he is a genius of a moviemaker. His Batman film is the one I have watched over and over and over again -- until Christian Bales, Michael Keaton was Batman in my mind.

I'll have to admit, I've never seen that in its entirety.

I know.

Let the flaming begin.:lmao:

The second half is very tough to get through when it gets really weird, but I love the first half.

DH takes the photos for me. And shakes his head. And also took one where he completely zoomed in on my...well, it wasn't fit for the DIS.:rotfl2:

Men. Can't live with 'em and there's no island big enough for all of 'em.

BTW... I was watching Chocolat and I have come to the conclusion that Johnny Depp does not have the ability to be unattractive.

True statement. And while I wouldn't say he was a "hottie" as Willy Wonka, those big glasses were kind of glam on him. LOL

And he vaguely reminded me of that little girl from "Amelie". Not that I've seen that movie. Just the case.

See, I can totally envision myself, yelling HALA KAHIKI just to make myself feel better. :lmao:

I'm alone. In the office. It's early. And I just yelled this out loud. It's kind of liberating.

Though I maintain that after a LapuLapu or six I will still be yelling, "YO HO!"

I'll have to admit, I've never seen that in its entirety.

Me either. I've also never seen "Blow", which my brother said he was fantastic in.

TK, you get to watch "Sweeney Todd" yet?

I can't even begin to describe how funny this mental image is to me...first yelling alone in the office, then YO HO!!!

No...we need the nut to be asleep, and usually when DH gets home from work, by the time we get DS into bed, we're wiped...maybe this weekend, it is our anniversary after all. I still haven't decided if we're going to go to lunch or a movie or both...hmm...

Hey guys,

Two things going on with my pre-trip this morning, both related to airfare.

I should have titled this post, "How much is TK's piece of mind worth?":lmao:

Turns out Southwest came out with some fares today, $119 one way. Very, very close to my threshold for booking. However, they're not the most desirable times. Departing is 4:15, which I just can't do with DS...it gets in too close to normal bed time, and we'd be at the airport leaving for it at the end of his nap, and I just see that as having disaster written all over it. Now, if I'm willing to compromise on our flight coming home, we could get the $119 fare for 930am flight. No hot dog for TK on the last day.

Ah well. So, if I book the early flight I want to get to Florida in the am, and then the earlier departing flight to come home, the grand total is $816.:scared1:

Very hard for me to fathom that this is the best there is, but I'm getting nervous since gas is sooooo much more expensive than it was last year at this time.

Now, in addition to this, in my DING fares, I see an announcement that due to the fact Southwest has been flying 37 years, they're releasing some special fares tomorrow.

Hmmm....

Do I wait?

If you book a flight, and want to rebook at a lower rate and get the credit, do you have to book the exact same flight times, or can you switch them?

Should I wait until July which is only a couple of weeks away?

I'm really not frenzied about this like I was before, I just don't know what to do.

Actually, I may be too calm.

Someone needs to smack some sense into me!:rotfl2:

Please?

Tink would wait one more day.

You can switch them and get the credit ONLY IF that rate is available for that flight. I'm almost 99.9% positive about this.

Honestly, I would give it one more day. And then when you're rejoicing in the wonderful rates you scored by being patient and waiting, I will be scrambling to book a good rate for the Tampa flight and haggling with SW to credit me for the Orlando flight. :rotfl:

Phew. My calming voices of reason.

My gut is to wait, too, but I have been kicking myself ever since I turned down the $99 one way.

However, the promise of something better appeals to my bargain shopper $6 Mickey tank top nature.:lmao:

Aye! The Code...

Keep the tank... it is extremely cute!

My goodness this man is good looking!

Ah yes. I remember back in 4th grade, one of my friends had a HUGE crush on him. That was about the time Edward Scissorhands came out.

Bah. That Winky Way is far from the mind. It's just fun to say. :lmao:

DED!

Crum--deleted too much of the multiposts and lost what else I wanted to reply to.

So--

Hala Kahiki (I think that's right...)

And yes, TK, wait a day. :thumbsup2

I love Edward Scissorhands! I loved Vincent Price in that film. And also could not believe who the boyfriend was!!!

Seriously, I hate it when that happens to me!

HALA KAHIKI!!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence that fares will go down.

I reserve the right to :furious: myself and you all if the don't!

Just kidding...I don't have any inner Hulk.

Too zen now.;)

Every time I say this in my head, it sounds all ghetto: "Holla!!!"

Where my girls at?

:lmao:

You must enunciate every syllable, Eliza!

But I'm so used to hear her say
"Good morning" ev'ry day.
Her joys, her woes,
Her highs, her lows,
Are second nature to me now;
Like breathing out and breathing in.
I'm very grateful she's a woman
And so easy to forget;
Rather like a habit
One can always break-
And yet,
I've grown accustomed to the trace
Of something in the air;
Accustomed to her face.

Tink is lost.
And is a-feared a flaming for not seeing some movie/musical is right around the corner.

My Fair Lady

Audrey Hepburn

Rent it. 'Nuff said.

Seriously, I think you would like this. It's a great musical, and although Audrey Hepburn plays the character, Julie Andrews provides the singing voice...it's an interesting mix, and I love the Professor!

I am currently in the part in Julie Andrews biography when she is starting My Fair Lady on Broadway.
