Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

Oh, I knew you would know it.

I think -- I could be wrong -- but isn't it from Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze?

 I'm so tired, I don't know. I think you're right.

Can I ask a totally off topic question here?

Where can a gal like me who wants to look professional but still young and trendy find some gosh darn clothes?

I placed an order from Chadwick's, and both items are horrible quality, leaving me feeling very :worried:

The things I like on Kohl's website they don't have in my size...

I haven't been to a mall to shop for clothes in ages...

I'm too old for Old Navy...

I'm frustrated! I need some summer tops for work and don't even know where to begin.

Oh, I wish I could help! I am a fashion disaster most of the time -- well, maybe not that bad, but I have two different styles that I gravitate towards: the flowy kinds of outfits (think peasant blouses) that look good with chunky beads and shell jewelry, and the Jackie Kennedy look of polos, sweater sets, and capris. Most of my clothes tend to come from Kohl's and Belk's, and if I were rich I would totally shop Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, and J. Crew.

Who I really wish I dressed like? Mary Louise Parker on Weeds.

Alright, well at least you've given me a direction!

I prefer the same type of style, the flowy things for my days off, although I do waer a lot of tanks as well. Right now I'm on Target.com seeing if I can find anything there.

I am sooooo an Internet shopper, and I'm afraid I may have to :::gasp::: go to the store and ....gulp.... try things and :::GASP::: pay full price!:faint:

I hate shopping for clothes -- and I definitely hate paying full price for them! I bought most of my vacation clothes from Target, Belk's, Kohl's, and even found a couple of tank tops I liked at (oh, I hate to even write it) Walmart!

Okay, I love the mission impossible message from you. Brought a smile to my face after a long day. I'm not sure if I'm going to do this, but it intrigues me. Especially since we'll be staying there. DS is hit or miss with the camera. Sometimes he'll say cheese, other times he screams "NO!" So if we got a dud photographer, we'd be you know what.
I have seen some of the photo sessions and they have captured the child if you know what I mean. With the camera, not butterfly nets. :lmao: I bet even a dud photographer could get some great shots of the TK family. If not, I offer my services during Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009. I will take some photos of the TK Family. Not stiff posey ones either, fun natural family shots. In fact, I will do photos all around for everyone. :thumbsup2
Awww....I couldn't agree more. I actually feel, for the first time in a long time, even though I've never met any of you face to face, that I have girlfriends again. I missed so much having girlfriends. It's so easy to lose touch with people, and very sad, I love my DIS friends!:goodvibes
Okay Okay, now I have wee tear in my eye! :sad1: That is exactly how I feel. We need a call, much like ya ya but better.

Okay, I so want to take a vacation with you.

Yeah. I'm kind of a fun girl.

Uh oh. Should I make sure DS hasn't had any sugar that day?;)
:yay: :yay: :yay:

Nah. I know better than to do that to parents that I like. ;)

I think my best bet will be Southwest, but e-mail me and we'll chat. I should have booked when I told you to. Why, oh why, do I not take my own advice?:faint:

We'll work it out. Sorry I've been lax on e-mailing you back.

Ok sweetiepie, all I'm going to say is this...you have more shoe drama than I do, and that is saying something! (considering the # of pairs in my closet) But anywho, you know my vote would've been for the Croc flops. BF bought a pair yesterday and he can't stop saying how comfy they are. But I know Merrils have a good reputation and I know you like them. I say go with what you know you'll be comfy in.

"Poor sucker, he'll never know what hit him once Tink and TK get their hands on him."

Truer words have ne'er been spoken. Written. Whatever.

And Tink. My girl Tink. Do I even need to reiterate what reminds me of her?:goodvibes

I thought of you today when BF and I were in the car. I said to him, I think we're in TK's neck of the woods right now. I hope she's having a good day.

Then I told him that I was campaigning to be LL's new MOH.

New York & Company.

Seriously. I recently realized I fit into their sizes and I'm in love. And they usually have some good deals going on. Especially if you join their "rewards" program (it's free) and if you have either AAA or the Entertainment card. Take a peek.

You were on my mind today girlie. I hope you had a good day!

I think you should just show up to the wedding, overtake the MOH, tie her up, gag her, take her dress, bring clothespins a la Jennifer Lopez in The Wedding Planner to make the dress fit better and just be my MOH. ::yes::
I'll just pretend not to notice and we call party it up at the Wedding. ::yes::

Awesome! I am totally looking forward to you taking fun family shots....if I bring them....hee, hee...not sure if I'll have the boys with me, but if I do, look out!!

Hmmm....

Yeah. I'm kind of a fun girl.
Nah. I know better than to do that to parents that I like. ;)

Um...you do like us...I mean, really, really like us, right?:rotfl2:

We'll work it out. Sorry I've been lax on e-mailing you back.
No worries, mate. I know you're there.:goodvibes

Aww...you thought of me. When you get a chance, e-mail me where you were.:thumbsup2

There's no campaign, honey, I'm sure if LL could pull a quick swicheroo, she would.:thumbsup2

Thanks. I'm going to take a look. I'm getting really, really :furious: My inner hulk is raging. I NEED retail therapy. Which is very, very odd for my sprendthift little self.
You were on my mind today girlie. I hope you had a good day!

It was good, but very, very long. More on that another time.

Woo Hoo! I'm excited. :hyper:

If only I had started Dis'ing earlier. You can all just do invasion of the body snatchers bridesmaid edition.

I'll bring the rum!
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!:dance3: I prefer Malibu Rum, is that too blasphemous? Mmmmm. I should have DF tell you the story of the night I drank a whole handle of Malibu Rum myself, 4 wine coolers, sprained my ankle and other unfortunate events.

I feel the same way...I have lost touch with many friends and I'm so lucky I found the DIS and made friends with you guys! I love my DIS friends too.:goodvibes

I am sooooo an Internet shopper, and I'm afraid I may have to :::gasp::: go to the store and ....gulp.... try things and :::GASP::: pay full price!:faint:

This is so true!

I have a feeling we will come up with a great one...

I'll bring the rum!

OOHHH Rum!!!

Woo Hoo! I'm excited. :hyper:

If only we had a clue as to how to get away with it.... ;)

I would totally be a bridesmaid -- I love weddings!!!

Me too... I always cry at wedding though... They are so happy!

Had you all fooled right? You all thought I was happy...settled...comfortable even with my ADRs. Shows how little you know about TK, pirate lover, captain of the TK family. Shhh, don't tell DH, I'm sure he thinks he's in charge...nah, actually, I think the man is smart enough to know to let me plan to my little heart's content.

He watches these ADR changes with resolve. Knowing that his 3 month from now meals could change at the drop of a hat, or the whims of his hormonal wife. Don't you just love that time of the month?

Oddly enough, instead of wreaking my venegance on my poor little family due to moodiness and something arriving three days before schedule because if I don't take that darn little pill at the exact same minute, second etc of every day, it throws off my cycle, you get me wreaking havoc on our vacation plans. Oh yes, my friends. ::yes:: I took out all my feminine angst on the non-itinerary itinerary.

It wept. And said why are you changing me now????

Why?

Because I can! Mwa-ha-ha!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Seriously, folks, I was looking at our plans and they were starting to look too planned. Too much going on. Not enough pirate fly by the seat of your pants go where the wind takes your ship not worry about making it to such and such by certain said time or Davy Jones will release his beastie.

Phew....:lmao:

So here we go folks. The new plans as laid down by TK are as follows.

Sep 14th - Arrival Day
Get there when we get there. No ADRs. Go to whatever park we fancy or stay at the resort and lounge. Remember, we're on vacation!;)

Sep 15th- Coral Reef 530pm

Sep 16th - Chef Mickey's 1120am - MNSSHP

Sep 17th - Brown Derby 1230pm

Sep 18th - Boma 1020am

It all looks comfortingly familiar right...well except that we dropped Artist Point on the first day. But fear not, my intrepid sailors...all is not lost!

Sep 19th - Artist Point 600pm

Yup. We ditched the Kona Cafe. Quicker than you can say Teppan Edo = Ginger Sauce = ZZUB in Canada.

It just wasn't making sense to me anymore. I had originally relished the thought of sitting down in that little cafe and eating my Tonga Toast. Now...I'm just not feeling it. I'd rather bask in the comfort of knowing that Artist Point is not on my arrival day, and that I will make it there, and that I've freed up a morning. When I started making my last ADR changes, and switched to Boma for breakfast, it just looked like sooooo much breakfast and lunch, which was good, but my two dinners were two days in a row. This way, we have something to look forward to as we near the end of our journey.

Sep 20th - Crystal Palace 1145am - Lapu Lapu Fest - Tink? - Spectromagic 800pm

Sep 21 - Departure Day

So there you have it folks. The ramblings of a mad woman. Mad, I tell you, MAD!!!! :lmao:

I feel sooooo much better about this schedule. It's way more flexible than what we had and so much less planned. It puts us at 6 table service for our 8 day vacation, which is much more my style. I'm still thinking we'll pay for the Derby out of pocket. It will give us an extra table service and if we're not able to get in anywhere, we can always switch it to another counter service meal. I believe they did that last year do to the overwhelming bookings in table service restaurants, so although I know nothing stays the same, I'm expecting the same scenario this year.

Poor DH...wait until I tell him I switched our ADRs again.

He'll just shake his head and laugh.:rolleyes1
