Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

I guess it is time to call disney dining and ask about it and tell them about my issue...

They don't use whole wheat for the table service meals do they?

I'm not sure about that. If you do call, would you let me know, I am curious!

Hey ladies! Let me try to mildly clear up this issue with my limited knowledge and see if that helps at all.

What I've heard/read is that the buns are not whole wheat. They are a white/wheat mix. Most white bread's first ingredient is actually a wheat flour, and they've just processed out some of the texture, etc.

So this may not be an issue for you, PKB. I will see if I can do some research and find that exact thread for you, but be forewarned. It's a long, long thread debating the virtues of the lost white roll.:goodvibes

Who's farther behind than me? That's right. No one.
I miss you when your darn job gets in the way of valuable time on the boards!:goodvibes

Definitely. BF and I saw that one in the theatre. There were parts that made me cringe. But I liked it. BF loved it.
I'm anticipating that it may make me cringe but that I will secretly love it. In case you all hadn't picked up on it yet, I have a little bit of a dark side. :::heh, heh::: :darth: For example...I LOVE watching Sleepy Hollow. Repeatedly. Like, every time it's on network tv. And one of my friends gave me the soundtrack. Yup...it's a weird, freaky world in my head. Got to balance out all that Disney with something!;)

I'm actually hoping to take a good look at the ADR for that night and make our spa ressies next week, so a definite time is in sight! There! On the horizon!

:sail: Oh, I think I see it! Something for me to pencil into the non-itinerary itinerary!!! Oooo! :yay:

Ugh. I'm tired of thinking about six-month-from-now-food. Yet strangely drawn to it.
I'm seriously getting burnt out on it. Today my mom says to me...don't you think 1020 is late for DS to have breakfast? I said, oh, we'll feed him a little something before we get there so he's not starving. Well, if he's not hungry what is he going to do. Um, hello? Have you met my son? You watch him three days a week? Breakfast is an ongoing from when we wake up straight through his ten o'clock snack. I think we'll be okay. And yet, I began to doubt myself. And came running home to DH and said, did I book reasonable ADR times, did I, did I? Phew. I just need to stop talking about this trip except on the boards. No one gets it.

I suppose I shouldn't answer that, right?
::furiously erases "have Lapu Lapu at Kona with breakfast at 10 a.m." from trip planner::
Okay, I so want to take a vacation with you.

Ok, Wayne.
Thanks, Garth.

I'm a godmother. Which has turned me into a child-briber extraordinaire. ;)
Uh oh. Should I make sure DS hasn't had any sugar that day?;)
:yay: :yay: :yay:

I can try to help you out with looking at the airfare. I'll e-mail you.
I think my best bet will be Southwest, but e-mail me and we'll chat. I should have booked when I told you to. Why, oh why, do I not take my own advice?:faint:

My gramma was in Assisi a little over a week ago. It was her first trip back since her mother's death (20 years ago). She grew up in Monte Casino.
I cried when we left Assisi. Seriously. I loved it there. Came home and told then DF that I wanted to move to Italy.

I'm all caught up and out of breath! ;)
I'm off from work the next couple of days so I'm hoping I'll be able to STAY caught up!

:::sigh::: Tink, Tink, Tink...if you're going to take time off, could you at least try to sync them up with mine? Repeat after me : TK works Wed-Sat, TK works Wed-Sat...;)

Thanks. :goodvibes I am calling them right now actually. With UC, everything is trial and error, I don't want to get to the park and end up sick... A prime example, I ended up at the hospital one night because I ate a hersey kiss... yep no milk chocolate for me... Thank goodness for Dark Chocolate.

I think I read that thread about the multigrain bread.... So we will see.

Let us know what you find out, better safe than sorry!:goodvibes

I think I would cry if I couldn't eat milk chocolate.

Ditto. It's one of my guilty pleasures. And really guilty, because it always makes me break out a little bit. So if I've got a zit, you know why! :lmao:

:lmao: Too funny! Not that I am laughing at your zit angst. :goodvibes

Of course not! I actually have a very stubborn small one on my cheek. Little bugger just won't go away. I've tried covering it up with make up, letting it breathe...it persists. And I haven't had chocolate in sooooo long. Ugh.

Thanks... There is a lot to be said for dark chocolate... Although most days I would LOVE a peanut butter cup.

I just posted in my PTR...

I think I would cry if I couldn't eat milk chocolate.

While I miss PBC, Dark Chocolate is now really out there. All my Chocolate Chip Cookies and brownies are all made with dark chocolate. I nearly broke down in tears when I saw that M&M's had dark chocolate peanut ones.

a love there is no cure for...

Yup. Those are my big ole stinky feet sportin' my new mary jane Crocs.

I'm undecided. They feel nice.

They look cute.

I can't fathom they'll be supportive enough for Disney but I don't know. I've only been wearing them around the house for the past couple of hours.

I feel the toes are a bit enclosed, even though the ventilation holes are nice, and I did have to stretch the top strap a bit to get it not to be too tight. I'm worried the straps may rub and I'm wondering if I may be better off with that good ole fashioned big clunky Croc. Those are supposed to fit loose right? Hmmm....

I'm betwixt and between.

Mary Janes or big Crocs?

Mary Janes or big Crocs or Croc Flip Flops?

Mary Janes & big Crocs or Croc Flip Flops?

Mary Janes & big Crocs & Croc Flip Flops?

Hmmm....

Give the Mary Janes a chance!! I had that rubbing in the beginning and now it doesn't bother me at all. :goodvibes

Cute!!!

I have never tried the regular or flip flop crocs so I am no help whatsoever.

But I like your new shoesies! :goodvibes

Are you planning on wearing your mjs in Disney?

I really need to wear them this weekend, perhaps for a walk with DS and see how they do. Actually, I usually go grocery shopping on Sunday and hit two different stores, maybe I'll try them then. I don't want to dirty them up too much in case I want to return them, but I'll never know if they'll work for me otherwise. Did you find that they molded to your fit more after continuous wear?

They are packed and ready to go! I won't wear them for the parks though, because I need the ankle and arch support for my feet that only tennis shoes can provide. However, I will be wearing them for short-distance walking -- around POFQ and DtD more than likely. I will let you know how they fare!

I think they get more comfortable each time I wear them. My feet don't hurt at all after running errands like they do in other sandals and shoes. I am really hoping they will work for WDW.

I'm leaning towards returning...can I show you guys what else I'm looking at you and tell me what you think?

Here's the deal, gals. I found a code for 20% off, and because I recently placed an order, I also get an additional 10% off. I also got something for DS, but I'll post that a little later. ;)

Okay, first two choices are Crocs.

flipcrocs.jpg

Cost = $28.76
My hesistation with this is that I already own two pair of Adidas flip flops which have memory foam and are really really comfy for summer wear. They do not, however, hold up all day long in the parks. I had thought of alternating between those and my running sneakers, which are comfortable as well, but I sweat through my feet (more than you wanted to know, huh) and I think sneakers in Florida would make me really, really hot.

pinkDcrocs.jpg

Cost = $27.32
I've been coveting these ever since I knew they existed. Tryed them on last year at the parks but couldn't bring myself to pay full price. I think they'd be great for by the pool, (I have the Mickey skirtini from last year which is black and a pink floral top with Mickey on it) but I don't know how people do the parks in them. Then again, they are supposed to be open feeling, so I'm not sure.

merrells1.jpg

Cost = $50.36
I know Merrells are good quality. I own other shoes just to make my closet not feel sad :lmao: but all I wear since I've owned Merrells are Merrells. I have two pairs, black clogs, and brown mocs. I wear them at the bank, and although my feet will still hurt a bit if I stand all day, it's nothing compared to the carp shoes I used to wear. The mocs are a bit more supportive than the clogs, so I'm hoping to get another black pair this fall. These are the sensible thing to go with, not fun, not gorgeous or cute, but sensible. I think I want them. However, I am frugal to a fault. I am intrigued by the low price of the pink Crocs.

Alright, have fun, guys! Let the opinons flow!:goodvibes

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Cuteness is a factor to consider, at least it is with me. However after my last trip, my feet were hurting. When I went in 2003, all I wore were sandals. Didn't have a problem with them at all. I went in 2005, didn't pack my sneakers. Biggest vacation mistake, EVER.
I like to wear cute outfits to the parks for the pictures but I hate the way sneakers look, that is why I am hoping that with more wear the MJ crocs will work for me....at least some of the time.
I am not being much help! :faint:

Just kidding.

I know what you mean. In regard to work, I've given up on cute in favor of comfort. But you know what? I've always been a comfort gal anyway. I am leaning towards returning the Mary Janes. Truthfully, I worked at the bank, was on my feet all day, and when I put those on, my feet didn't say "ahhhhh." When I put on Merrells, typically, my feet say "ahhhhh."

Do I sound crazy?
