Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

DF works for a Children's Home, I can't think of another way to describe it. Needless to say he comes home with some pretty sad stories. I used to work in a crisis unit for children, either coming out of the hospital or if they needed an emergency intervention. Very sad stuff. I burned out.

Okay...thread hijack over. :goodvibes

Wow. I've never done anything remotely close to this. Although we've had our fair share of drama in my family, well, actually DH's, but that's not for public boards. Lucky we have each other to dream with about better things, huh?

Seriously. It just breaks my heart. I have fear of things that I shouldn't have to fear but I have seen too many kids who have been hurt.

Oh, poor little LL with a bad hair cut! I feel for you.

I used to try to cut my own bangs when I was younger. Suffice it to say, I've gotten much, much better at it now. For the longest time, as an adult, I would not wear bangs. I took the plunge 1-2 years ago, and I LOVE having them. Whenever I trim them, I feel like I've had my hair cut. :rotfl2: And it keeps me from going to the salon as much, since I'm a pony tail kind of gal. When it gets really long, I'll get a trim, but I try to go at least eight weeks in between cuts. It's just too expensive at the salon I go to, and I don't trust anyone else not to ruin me.
I hear ya. Right now my bangs are way too long, but doing the side swoopy swipe for the wedding, my mom threatened me not to cut them. In the nicest way possible, of course. ;)

NO pressure, love. If they don't work for me, I'll just try another style. What really threw me over the edge of the Croc cliff was that I believe, your mom, who liked Merrells, loved Crocs, so I thought, well, if she likes them, maybe I can give them a try and save myself some cash.::yes::
It was her. She loves her Crocs and she used to wear Merrells.

Whereupon in this chapter you have now learned that although I may be a goddess and a temptress and I am not shoe savvy.

It's ok, I won't hold it against you. I'll change your bad shoe karma:

These are the cute shoes you're looking for. ::jedi-mind-trick-hand-wavey-thingy::

those capris may work their way in to my closet anyway....:rolleyes1

That's my girl.

Have you seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

Yes. And as semi-creepy as the Deppmeister was in that one, I LOVED it!

Do you really think it wise for me to go there?
I mean, I've had one of those days, and am totally feeling spendy.
It could be very, very, very bad.

::yes::

Sorry. I can't do the "right" thing here. My shoe addiction is too strong.

See, that's the thing, I don't normally picture men in flip flops.

BF flat out refused flippies...until I made him try them on. Now he can't imagine life without a pair.

Poor TK and the Little Peanut! You have both had a traumatic day!

Want me to wish some bad juju on the mean haircut lady???

Sounds like you need more of a treat than just a double cheeseburger between the locking DS out of the car trauma and the haircut trauma!!!

I wouldn't cut them this close to the wedding either. You don't want that new hair cut look.:thumbsup2

Cool, I thought so.

Ah...I feel enlightened.

Yes. And as semi-creepy as the Deppmeister was in that one, I LOVED it!
I like Johnny Depp semi-creepy. And full on creepy. As a matter of fact, my gift for mother's day was Sweeney Todd. We haven't watched it yet, we need the little nut to be asleep for that one! Obviously, however, my favorite is the non-creepy, oh so savvy, smooth talkin, dreadlocked wearin, slightly feminine swaggering Captain Jack Sparrow!

Okay, I get it. Comfort won over the masculinity.:lmao:

Oh, I totally believe in good/bad karma. She got hers. I tipped poorly.:thumbsup2 And I had a coupon for two dollars off. So I basically gave her what it would have been without a discount. And she made a face when she looked at it on the credit card slip. Too bad chicky, should have been nicer. I may be frugal, but I will tip well for good service...and that was not.

We shall not speak of the Oreo McFlurry.:rolleyes1

I am with you about good/bad karma and good/bad service.

I believe that the Oreo McFlurry was well within the bounds of neccessity today!

I felt that way as well. And I'd been craving one for weeks. And I mean weeks. Today I caved.:thumbsup2

I plan on caving on a lot of things next week.

I was just talking to Charles about a tangerine daiquiri that I saw on the alcohol porn thread. I told him I wanted one of those and a henna tattoo in Morocco. His response, "You've mentioned a lot of drinks that you want while we are there." He made me sound like a lush -- it's actually quite a short list. ;)

Oh, you raging alcoholic, you! ;)

Actually, I have had henna tattoos before. Last year I bought a kit and did my own right before we left. Had it the whole trip, which was nice, and it was a nice "night before we leave" activity. I wonder if I have pics of my hennas? I'll have to rummage a bit and see what I can find. Anyway, you should totally get one, but if you plan on swimming, plan not to do it the next day as chlorine will remove a great deal of the dye. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: You mean having an adult beverage picked out for every day of the vacation is a bit much?

Thanks for the heads-up about the swimming -- I was planning on doing it Monday, but maybe I will wait until Friday when we are back at Epcot since we will be leaving the next day. :thumbsup2

Man oh man. I keep reading about great things to do. I can't possibly fit in another thing...except a night in the castle. I really need to start a "future trip list". :goodvibes

Go ahead. I've already got a budget for next year. :rotfl2:

And I forgot to add that I would love to see pics of your henna tattoo!

I'm having trouble finding them. I think I may have to pull out the scrapbooks and do a pic of a pic thing.
