Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

DBF was looking over my shoulder today. And he saw the words "food porn" and spent the afternoon trying to write a rather interesting story involving vegtables.... ;)

All my response was: "MEN!!"

Oh, good lord.:lmao:

That is too funny. I actually told DH about food porn, so he was in the know. I wonder what he would have thought otherwise?

Gives a whole new meaning to this guy...

I am never going to think of this guy  the same. :lmao:

It's like a whole new world. :lmao:
:rotfl2: You just crack me right up.

On another subject, I have been thinking about my ADR's again...hehehe. I haven't dug out all of my paperwork and plans yet so I don't think I am too far gone yet....yet.

I love to laugh!

Ugh, me too, oddly enough. I keep thinking about whether or not to switch the Brown Derby to something else, or to go to Akershus for a nice princess breakfast, or yadda yadda yadda...

perhaps it's best to let sleeping dogs lie?

So, I did a little trip/summer shopping tonight. Couldn't bring myself to get the Crocs yet when I really, really need a pair of Merrell sandals. Let me tell you, once you start wearing Merrells every day for work, it'll ruin you for other shoes because they are so comfortable and supportive.

So I got these puppies Merrell Genoa Sandals - Black with a 20% off code, which is the best deal I've seen in quite a while. It actually knocked $13.99 off the price of the shoes, which is awesome.

I got a rebate a while back from getting a new Verizon phone, and the rebate is $50 so that almost completely covers the sandals. Ah, shopping bliss. My feet will be thanking me. :lovestruc

Hahahahahahahaha! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
But that is not the DIS way!! Silly TK!! I think I might try to tweak mine to better times, if possible. I know that it probably isn't, but you never know!

Those are really cute! Will you wear those in the parks?

Did I just make a DIS funny?

My bad. ;)

You know, usually, once I plan my vacation and my ADRs, I really don't give it a second thought until a couple of weeks before when I think about packing and if we need any new clothes. :scared1:

Shocking, right?

The DIS boards has ruined me.

I think about my trip all the time!!!!!

Okay...you know what...I probably thought about it then, too, but just had no outlet...you can only talk about your vacation so many times to your family before they look at you like you're nuts...never mind your co-workers...pretty soon they'll be sending you to the funny farm :dance3:

Most definitely. I plan to alternate between those and my Reeboks that I use for working out, just to give my feet a couple of alternatives. I'll also bring some casual flip flops for by the pool, because I really don't want to get the Merrells soaked...although if we get stuck in the rain, there goes that. :lmao:

I often wonder that if I hadn't found the DIS if I would be driving poor DF as crazy as I am with all my planning and obsessing. I love the DIS, but it's like a bad habit, the more you have it, the more you need it. :lmao: DF is at the point that when I bring up the trip, he just says, "Do whatever you want, I trust your judgement as long as it doesn't cost more money." He added the more money part after we upgraded to WL for a few nights. :rolleyes1

DF and I have vowed to go walking at night starting tomorrow. I am going to test out the crocs for this. I think I will be able to wear them in the park but want to put them through more vigorous testing. I will bring sneakers too but I need to buy a new pair and break them in. My old ones are kaput. We have to dress up a little for Artist Point so I want to bring a dress sandal, that I will promptly change out of after dinner. I have been toying with getting a pair of black mary jane crocs, do you think they would be dressy enough? They say business casual and I have read that people do wear flip flops into those business casual restaurants.

It's unfortunate your DF is not as crafty as mine with the whole debt to be repaid thing. I have carte blanche...as long as I remember I must pay my dues. :lmao:

Actually, I think the black ones are quite dressy, and probably would be fine. I'm ashamed to admit I've probably worn flip flops into those restaurants without even realizing there was a dress code. Hey, I was a teenager/college kid who hadn't discovered the DIS, what did I know?

Remember that whole chapter about my costume?

I'm wavering...

like I do with ADRs...

and everything else :rolleyes1

So, I could go with the easy casual pirate look, or I could wear my beautiful Elizabeth dress and pray that we aren't flooded...oh, weather gods...:worship:

So here's a photo. Yes, I know...sans head...but I have privacy issues...;)

You can actually see the color differential on my dress and DH's waist sash where they're soaked :lmao:

So what do you guys think? (Boy, after reviewing my post, it looks like a have no arm! :rotfl2: It's behind my back, in case y'all are wondering about the weird disembodiment issues. :lmao: )

My whole reasoning for not wearing it was being able to move comfortably, etc...but it's sooooo pretty. And since we've got the boat ride on our side, I don't need to worry about getting on and off the bus in it.

And isn't it fitting that A Pirate's Life for 3 should take a boat to MNSSHP anyway? ;)

I think it's really pretty! You should wear it if you can comfortably take part in all of the MNSSHP activities that you want too. If you can't, then I say don't wear it. I'm still debating costumes myself. I understand the dilemma.

He is naive to the DIS ways of debt being repaid, plus he wants a big screen tv. You can see where HIS priorities lay.

Woo Hoo, a reason for another pair of crocs. I think Artist Point is the only one we are going too that has the dress code.

Thanks, girlie! Even with the packing restrictions lately, I may end up bringing both and picking there! :lmao: I actually plan on doing laundry while down there, so I know I'll be packing less clothes, which should help. :thumbsup2

::::GASP:::: Laundry on vacation. That is just not right! At least in LL standards. I will glady overcompensate in my packing in order to not do laundry on vacation.

Normally I would never. But once you start packing for three, one of whom may mess up several outfits per day, or pee out of pajamas due to potty training whatnot even with an overnight diaper, then you start to consider it as a rather nice possibility. Instead of trying to pack double the amount of outfits I'd need...which would be 16 outfits, I'd only have to pack a few extra outfits and do a little laundry in the middle of the trip.

Then again, I am going to be working out on this vacation too, so I guess I'm not normal. :lmao:

Okay, I forgive you for doing laundry on vacation. You give a valid argument. I know lots of people who work out on vacation, that's not too bad.

Wow! You guys sure have been chatty tonight!

TK, I wanted to go to Philly also for the King Tut exhibit, but I think that was last summer and I went to Disney instead. So, I am super excited about it coming to Atlanta.

I was all schoolgirl giggly when I met her; she was at Emory University, spoke beforehand, and then went across the green to sign books at the Carlos Museum. It was one of the most exciting moments of my life!

I adore the dress -- you should definitely wear it!
