Will staying at the Grand Californian Villas for a day be worth it?

Brand New DVC owners here just bought in this past week. We already have a CA trip in the works. Our original plan come in to LAX and are checking into a Residence Inn 2 bedroom for 3 nights. Day 1 reach LA late in the night, Day 2 do a LA tour, Day 3 was Disneyland Park and on Day 4 we would checkout and leave for Vegas.

Will it be worth spending the points to check in at Grand Californian Villas for night i.e Day 3 Night and leave around noon on Day 4? Will we even have time to check the property or should we go back to the residence inn and save the point for another trip?

We are DVC owners and SoCal locals with AP's and it is so worth it - even for 1 overnight getaway trip! Also depends on how much time you're choosing to spend in the parks.

Kind of depends on when you're going. If its a Saturday night and it means you could use MM both mornings during high season, when its going to be busy, its probably worth it. Otherwise I'd save the points for another trip and just wander through the resort on your own. Add another night at the RI so you don't have to pack up and move your stuff.

My minimum is 2 nights because otherwise you're only getting the room from 4p-10a, and a good chunk of that time will be spent in the park or sleeping so you're getting less than 18 hours ... We have added on DLH to the beginning of a VGC stay for the monorail slide and the easy luggage transfer when VGC was sold out however ...

Depends if you are going to need those points for your next trip. If you are going to have extra then I would use them. HAVE FUN
