Do you think Pixar Fest will really end September 3rd?

I know sometimes they extend popular events if it gets people coming to the parks but since they will overlay with Halloween in September maybe it really will end.

What do you think?

Yes, it will end then, just as the 60th Anniversary celebration ended after Labor Day 2016 and Summer of Heroes ended at that time last year. It's their summer theme, and it always goes away.

Yes, the official “Pixar Fest” stuff will go away (the marquees over each park sign, the colored bunting, the festival-related food offerings, etc.). They’ll transfer over to Halloween stuff.

As for what will happen with the parades and fireworks, that’s much more of a question. Certainly the Pixar Play Parade and PTN may (are likely to?) continue, and they may (but seem less likely to?) keep Together Forever around for a bit?

Yes, I also think Pixar Fest will end on Labor Day as announced. The permanent elements, like Pixar Pier with the Incredicoaster, Pal-A-Round, Lamplight Lounge, etc. will likely remain, but the more transient things (decor, specialty foods, some of the entertainment, etc.) will end. I think the biggest question is around the nighttime entertainment (e.g., PtN, Pixar Play Parade, and Together Forever), but it wouldn't surprise me if those end as well or go on a reduced (i.e., weekend only) schedule.

I expect PTN to stick around because DCA needs the draw. I think Pixar Parade is just temporary at DL until they have a new rumored parade. I hope they keep it until a new parade opens or at least until Christmas season. It would be sad to have no day time parade. I am more sceptical about the fireworks and don't expect them to remain. I'm sure the regular fireworks are cheaper to run and it is easy enough to switch back. I was so sure the 60th fireworks would last and they didn't.

Pixar Fest will end then, but you may see PTN stick around. I would expect Pixar Play Parade to return to DCA during the day, as it really doesn't fit at Disneyland. PTN may or may not move back to Disneyland, but I doubt Disneyland will have any parade during Halloween Time aside from during the parties which are starting even earlier this year. I also think the fireworks will change as well.

I hope they play parade ends. It has such a dca vibe to me.

I hope ppp moves back to dca too.

Personally I would prefer to see it end and both parks each get a new daytime and a new nighttime parade (or PTN sticks around for one of the parks). There needs to be more draws away from the attractions at night with crowds lately.

Is there a way to see what entertainiment was offered last September? I tried searching online, but wasn't able to find anything. We'll be in the parks Sept. 15-17. I'm really hoping PPP moves back to DCA and they more PTN back to DL, plus a weekend fireworks show. Waiting for the schedule to come out is torture!!

I'm really surprised to see people wanting PTN to move back to DL. It's sooooo much easier to see at DCA! Plus, logistically, DL already has Fantasmic! and fireworks to navigate/crowd control for at night, but DCA only has WOC (which is less impactful than either of those). I think they were brilliant to move it there.

Word on the street is a new daytime parade is coming to DL in 2019. Not sure what that means for this fall.

That's a really good point. I didn't think about how much easier it must be to see it at DCA. Ok, I take it back! Although I do still think that Pixar makes more sense at DCA as well. Maybe they'll bring Soundsational back until next summer? I can't imagine they would not have a parade for 9 months....but I guess that's possible....

The rumor is that Soundsational floats are being repurposed into a new parade and that is why Pixar Play is at Disneyland. If the parade floats are being reused then they either have to continue Pixar Play or have no parade at Disneyland.

This is so depressing to hear. Our family really loved Soundsational parade. I was sure hoping it would come back.

wdwinfo tracks the calendar information (the past months are based on the published schedule, the future months are just based on a template (so don't take the hours/entertainment schedule to get accurate for the future)): http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/park-hours.cfm?month=09&year=2017
