Will Palo notice if I use another family member's reservation?

Would I be able to do both a Palo brunch AND dinner (not first night) if I booked a brunch for myself and then showed up another night for dinner under a reservation booked under my dad's name?

Do they scan my KTTW card to verify who I am? Hope I don't get the same server?

You can book one brunch and one dinner. No need to try and sneak around.

Thanks I thought for some reason we couldn't. I'll have to double check what the message I got was when I tried to book a dinner

Unless it has changed over the weekend (only explanation for why no one has come charging on here asking what is up) you can certainly book a brunch and a dinner.

We have booked brunch and dinner on almost every one of our last 10 DCL cruises.

I would suggest not doing dinner and then early brunch the next day as we were still full from dinner the night before, we didnt enjoy brunch as much as we normally do.

yup we always do brunch and dinner and like Trera we space it out, we do dinner a few days after the brunch because of being so full from both

The message you got might have been where the other party already had something planned for when you wanted to book the other dining experience.
For example, you wanted brunch at 1:30 but they already had something planned at that same time. Or they did not have table availability for that time and party number.

You can certainly book a brunch and a dinner under your name if you wish. They are not going to turn away your money. :)

I also think the online reservation system only allows you to pre-book one Palo experience (brunch OR dinner). However, once on board, you can easily add to that. There is plenty of availability.

Every DCL cruise I've been on you can book one brunch AND one dinner.

Trust me, this board would have exploded if the policy had changed.

The one change has been that reportedly if you book Palo dinner for the first night you are able to book a second night. But that did not affect brunch reservations.

Your message should have been if you tried to book two Brunches or two dinners. But one of each is not a problem.

Availability is the issue when pre booking. But they do save a number of slots for each dining time to be booked once onboard.

and you WILL have the same server in Palo if you eat there multiple times. They Try very hard to do this for you. One time we had two different servers, but that was because our original server fell ill (thanks for having someone else ::yes:: take care of us for that meal).

If there is any issue at all, I would book the brunch before the cruise and book the dinner on board. Brunch has been harder to get reservations for in our experience.

And if there is an opening, you can book a second brunch or dinner later in your cruise (but you have to do it onboard).

We always book Palo brunch and dinner online prior to the cruise. Last cruise we were able to book, in advance, Palo brunch, Palo dinner, Remy dinner, Remy brunch, Remy dessert. As long as there's availability and you have nothing else booked that's too close, it should be fine. You must have run up against an error or another booked item that's too close.

Unless you book dinner for the first night. Then you get another shot at it before boarding.

Ewww, good to know! Is that only if you are platinum, or for anyone?

Anyone. It started a month or so ago.

That's awesome news. Thanks. I wonder if it's because they weren't getting enough reservations --maybe Remy is taking interest away from Palo :confused3

I think it was pretty empty on the first night, so they are trying to fill it then - or at least not have all the servers doing nothing/out tips for that night.

True -- I think most people don't like to miss the first night in the MDR. After 10 cruises, I wouldn't mind a quiet night at Palo on our first night ;)

We always book Remy for our first night when we can. Great way to start a cruise.
