Will new Poly Tower construction make allot of noise for Grand Floridian

Hello, Have a stay in Grand Floridian coming up in December. If Construction starts on new Poly tower next store, will that make things really noisy for Resort days? Looking at the Map it actually looks pretty close by, but the map might be deceiving and it could be really far away

Figure this will be major construction, just curious to how noisy things would get?
Or for that matter, what will noise be like at Poly for those days you want to relax at the pool?

It's close, with only a parking lot between the original GFV building and the construction area. Plan on hearing some noise, particularly when they're doing the foundation and framing.

It really depends on where on the Grand Floridian property you are staying. If you are in the villas facing that area, you would likely hear noise. If you are on the other side of the VGF building or anywhere at the main resort, I doubt it will have any significant noise impact at all.

We will be in the new Resort Studios so a little further away.
will see how noisy it is, worst comes to worst will just spend more time in the parks

Just beyond the Wedding Pavilion - which is the little island w/ the blue dot below. The T shaped building above the wedding Pavilion is the original DVC VGF building.

They are currently working on BPK and this didn't take to much away from the main pool and the DVC pool your really didn't notice it, so I don't think the Poly Tower Construction will have much effect on the pools at VGF during construction.

Yeah, but there's a big difference between doing a quick and dirty renovation like BPK and building from the ground up. The noise from heavy equipment moving about can be quite annoying.

Do we have any idea when groundbreaking would occur? Trying to decide if I want to be anywhere near Poly for my next stay when this is going on or just book BLT. Don't have to decided until a few months from now since it won't be my 11 month yet.

It was between the Poly and the Grand Floridian...so on the opposite side of the resort from the current PVB.

If you’re asking where Spirit of Aloha was moved to, it wasn’t. Disney announced that it’s not coming back.

No, the original VGF building is the upside down t-shaped one at the top of the photo. It's quite close to where the Poly Tower will be.

BPK (new resort studios) probably not close enough to get much noise.

Yes, the construction is on the opposite side of the Poly from the Poly DVC buildings.

Anyone stay in the DVC building lately? Trying to decide whether to book a 2 bedroom there next summer. Would the standard view rooms be looking directly at the construction? How is the noise?
