We are booking our trip tonight and will then be looking at lining up our dining plans. We have the dining plan and my wife is pregnant and we have a little 2yr boy. We are probably late to start this and was wondering if it is likely to really restrict our choices. We would like to do at least one charachter meal and will probably be eating at the 5-6 pm timeframe. Will we have a tough time as my wife is having a panic attack!

thx

When are you going? If you are inside 90 days, you might have a problem with CRT, the Princess meals at Norway, Le Cellier, and possibly Chef Mickey. Other than those, you should be okay- just try to make your ARs as soon as you decide where to go. Even if you end up changing some or all of them, at least you'll have them nailed down for now.

I would try LTT..it's a character meal that's served family style.
That way your wife can relax after a day in the MK.

Or the O'hana character breakfast it sounds nice and it was really easy to get ADR's for. We haven't tried it yet but we were looking for something off the beaten path as everyone else and I was assured it was good.

Can't believe I didn't specify when we are going!!!! Our plan is to be there
from Sept 10-17.

Cheers

Just an FYI---Olivia's at Old Key West also has a character breakfast if all the others are booked up. You can usually get into that one.

Olivia's discontinued the character breakfast a number of years ago.

It may be a big advantage if you're looking to eat early. The busiest times seem to be ~ 6-8PM. There are SO many places to eat at WDW. DW shouldn't be worrying about this before you even call! If you don't get a CM who's willing to be helpful and offer various suggestions and check different dates/times, just call back until you get someone who will work with you.

Try for the character buffets at the Crystal Palace and the Grand Floridian, as well as Chef Mickeys. O'Hana is fun. And if you aren't able to get quite what you'd like, continue to try once you get down there. Guest Relations in the resorts will help you with this, or you can call Disney Dining yourself.

Hope you have a spectacular trip!
