Will Magic Happens Parade Come Back?

Okay, while I'm glad that Christmas Fantasy Parade came back and the MSEP coming back for their 50th anniversary, but I'm kind've concern if Magic Happens Parade is coming back next year or not. It debut on February 28th, 2020, and it performed at Disneyland for two weeks until Disneyland was closed for a year due of the pandemic. And they haven't announced that Magic Happens is coming back yet. Is it possible that Magic Happens is gone forever or is Disneyland not bring it back yet?

I don't think it's gone forever given the investments they put in it. I wouldn't be concerned unless we start seeing the Magic Happens parade floats appear in other Disney parks.

Ex. That drum thing that currently follows the cavalcades in Disneyland was part of Happiness Is Here which ended in Japan in 2018. Some of the Happiness is Here floats were also used in Hong Kong's summer parade after some changes were made to them. Some of Disneyland Resort's Paint the Night Parade was sent to Hong Kong after its last run in California Adventure.

I'm guessing that Disney management thinks that having a night parade will lead to more people eating dinner in the parks while a daytime parade doesn't increase revenue in the same way. We have a CEO who is all about extracting money from guests while providing the minimum amount possible so I think we'll see Magic Happens return when the math works itself out that it somehow will lead to enough money in the short term to make it worthwhile.

Thank you. I hope I get to see that parade in real life someday. In the meantime, I'll enjoy CFP and MSEP. I can't to visit Disneyland again

That drum was brought over to use at the end of soundsationals run in celebration of mickeys 90th birthday.

My guess is it will likely return in early 2022 after the Christmas parade finishes its run.

Yup. It was first used in Happiness is Here, then brought over to Disneyland to use in Soundsational, and now used for cavalcades. They modified it for Soundsational and then modified it again after Soundsational ended.

It looks like Magic Happens is not coming back. I guess they're too ashamed of it to bring it back or maybe it's too expensive.

RIP Magic Happens

Tragic Happens...err I mean Magic Happens can go to the grave with Light Magic. It was awful.

I never got to see it, but it looked cool. Is it 100% never coming back?

Wait. Did people not like Magic Happens? I don’t remember that at all. I remember it being well reviewed and a welcome upgrade from Soundsational.

Besides, it only ran for like two weeks before the park closed.

I thought it was a lot of fun. I’ll be shocked if it doesn’t come back, because of the investment they put in.

It was ok, but something seemed odd.

Hard to explain- just bad vibes, maybe because it was last thing I remember seeing before covid closure announcement. I personally hope it never returns. Nothing against the CM's as I hope they can find other roles in entertainment shows/parades too.

I’m starting to feel that Magic Happens is not coming back. I’ve got make fun of at WDWMagic.com, because I want that parade to come back, but I guess everybody hates it. I guess Magic Happens is gone forever. I hope they’re developing a new parade in a few years.

Nothing is official until Disney says its so - I mean look at how many times they've said MSEP is going away forever. I never got to see the parade in person but I would watch it on YouTube at the start of the pandemic when everything was shut down and I thought it would be an amazing one to see in person.
