Will Lyft XL work for 4 people and luggage?

We'll have 6-8 bags with us, Will we still fit in an XL or should I be looking at 2 cars or a car service? We can fit all of the bags in the back of our minivan with no seats folded.
We don't arrive until after 10:30 pm, so the optional grocery stop with the car service wouldn't be of use.

We've done 6 bags, 4 large with a couple small carry on sizes, everyone held their backpacks in their laps. But not 8. Thing is, not too many XL are minivans. Most we get are SUVs and not all of them can hold that much without folding down 3rd row and you'll need the 3rd row for people. We even had one show up that wouldn't work at all. We weren't charged for the non-use since the class was technically correct, just this specific vehicle was not suited for us.

You can request a vehicle and see what you get and decide then if you need another or if you think it will fit.

I would note that if you go with 2 vehicles you can use regular Uber instead of XL, at least for the 2nd, if not both. I don't think you'd need two XL

I would consider car service if you have that much luggage, if only to confirm that you’ll have exactly as much luggage space as you need.

That would certainly be worth checking -- especially one who can guarantee you a full-sized van.
