Will it still be busy next week?

I want to take my grandsons to Disneyland before they turn 3, (they are twins) Their birthday is Jan. 29th. I wanted to go next week before they close It's a small world, and before they turn 3. My daughter is worried it will still bebusy as some schools are still on break. I am too rushed to check through all the info on when to go, (they kind of confuse me actually). So what do you think. Should I forget small world and go later in the month or are the crowds not too bad?

We are going T/W/Th next week. The "crowd prediction" websites say that Tuesday will be at a 2 and W/Th will be at a 1 for crowds. That is pretty low so I am hoping they are right!

I say go! The crowds may be up there, but it won't be quite as bad as it tends to get on actual holidays like Christmas Day or New Year's Eve or Day.

There will probably be a lot of locals because school is still out, and when I was in high school I always went up to Disneyland with friends during the break.

But honestly, I think it's definitely worth going on It's a Small World! Have a good time!

My DD goes back to school on 1/3, as will a lot of schools, I'm thinking, so crowds should definitely be lighter.

Thanks, I will let my daughter know. I found a crowd predictor for WDW is there one for Disneyland also?

I went after new years last year, and it was pleasant. I'm not sure how this year will turn out. If I had to guess, I think it would be a lot better than this week. Be advised though, the holidays at the park end really soon after new years.

IASW isn't scheduled to close to remove the holiday overlay until january 18-27...you still have time.:thumbsup2

Last year, the week you're talking about was very slow because schools were back in session. But this year, with Christmas on a Saturday, some schools were out the week before and after Christmas and some schools are out the week after Christmas and next week (our schools are the latter). So the crowd predictors aren't going to be as accurate. You are probably in for some AP crowds, but with the holiday overlay coming down, not anything near as bad as the last two weeks.

The 3rd is the last day for a LOT of things. I would expect it to be very busy. The 4th will be much less crowded, but you will not get to see "Believe... in Holiday Magic" fireworks, the Christmas parade, see characters in Christmas outfits, and a variety of other Christmas things as they will be officially over on the 3rd.

Also, on the 3rd the hours are still 8am - midnight. On the 4th they are 9am - 8pm. So, it's a question of crowds vs. what you want when you are there.

We've decided on Wednesday the 5th because we have stuff going on every other day. I'll let you guys know what it is like.
