Will it be too weird dining alone??

This will be my 6th solo trip next month and I stay 10-15 days each time and do 3 dining reservations a day. It's not weird at all. And I see other solo diners often. And I have eaten everywhere from where you're going, BOG, to Victoria and Albert's. I don't let anything stop me. I've enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Be Our Guest, actually, and had a terrific time. I have another reservation there next month.

If anything, it's such a big place that believe me, no one is paying attention to you. Sometimes I even make friends during my meals. One time, a family even tried to pay for my meal. So, if anyone does pay attention to you, it's bound to be a positive, friendly experience.

I booked a first time solo trip the end of August. I've never dined solo at Disney but I'm planning on quite a few table service meals because I booked deluxe dining. I can't imagine not eating at a table service because I might feel uncomfortable around strangers. I would be disappointed in myself for not doing something I want because of what someone I don't know might think.

Do it! I'm the type that feels a bit out of place doing it alone but I have eaten a couple of times in a restaurant by myself locally. I would have no problem AT ALL doing it at a WDW restaurant. Enjoy your meal and people watching!

I don't think so at all! And breakfast is a lot more casual than dinner there too so that should make you feel more comfortable.
Plus..solo BOG breakfast means that pastry tray is all for you so you're winning!

There's a pastry tray??? I did not know this! I've only done lunch or dinner here. Now I'm even more excited! :) I will have to bring a doggie bag from home!

Thank you everyone for your kind reassurances! I appreciate it. I'm going to feel a little funny at first, but I am going for it!

I chaperoned a student trip and ate lunch at BOG by myself. It was a little weird at first but wound up being really enjoyable!

Yes! You get a selection of pastries as well as whatever you order, it's so good! Hope your enjoy it:-)

This will be my 3rd solo trip coming up in Sept/Oct. I dont care what others think. If any place is first time for solo dinning Walt Disney World is great its so crowded and everyone will be doing there own thing. I love eating at restaurants at WDW. Sometimes eating alone can get u more attention from wait staff or even characters. The first character dining I was nervous but just told wait staff I was alone and most will take pics for you. Last time I went to Crystal Palace for breakfast and Eeyore sat down at my table trying to eat my food with me and then when in line for eggs he came up to me and wanted me to place an order for him. But if u have any questions about dining alone just ask. Im doing 7 table service meals. This time it just so happens they are all character meals.

I love dining alone, anywhere. I'm not sure why there's such a stigma attached to solo dining or why it seems to make people uncomfortable.

It might FEEL weird to you, but nobody else will give you a second glance. Don't sweat it :)

This! It is all according to how 'you' feel. I do not dine alone at TS because I just feel uncomfortable, but that's just me - nothing weird about it at all.

I did breakfast at BOG because my family left earlier than I did back to Texas while I waited my flight back to Seattle. It was a wonderful experience and I was able to get some reading in on my kindle

Maybe I'm used to it because I eat solo on occasion while on the road for work, but I wouldn't think twice about it. If you want to do it - do it ! Have fun !

I've seen solo diners many times at Disney, and when they're seated near us, we usually end up talking to them. My favorite as a grandpa who was sitting all alone in Tutto Gusto while Grandma took the kids on ride ... he had a huge bowl of pasta and a bottle of wine and was having the time of his life all alone. We also met a nice lady at Spice Road Table during food and wine last October who was attending a wine tasting luncheon by herself. She looked a LOT like my (deceased) mother in law, so my wife started chatting her up. She ended up sitting at our big crazy table for the wine tasting and we had a lot of fun !

Disney is a pretty social place, and everyone is there to do their own thing and have fun ... so just book it, don't worry about it, and enjoy the experience !

just got back from a solo trip, and had two meals alone at BOG - breakfast and lunch. They didn't feel weird at all! Probably one of the easier "alone" restaurants b/c it's so busy and everyone is looking around at the castle.

Have fun!
