On December 3, Spectro is at 7pm. We have 5:35 dinner ressies at Tony's Towne Square. Do you think that we'll have enough time to see Spectro, or will all the good viewing spots be gone by the time we are done?
that time of year you should be ok.. but yes the best spots will be gone an hour ahead of time.. you might fine some nice soul that will let your child stand up there with them and you stand in the back of the child... that is what I do when I see a family come up... just a thought.
I think you are barely going to make the parade at all. You have a ressie for 5:35. They usually don't seat you right away. I always, no matter where I eat, have a 5-10 minute wait. That only gives you 1 hour and 15 minutes for dinner. That seems to be cutting it very close to parade time. Main street will be completely full by 6:45. You might find something down in frontierland but you first have to make your way through the main street crowds.
Also, with the MVMCP there are only a couple of SpectroMagic's that week. I also think they are filming the MVMCP that weeken so the crowds will be higher than the usually December crowds.
It will be the most crowded where you will be...up in the front of the park, so your best bet is to eat and then get out of the way of main street and find a less crowded area. There are less crowded areas, you may just have to go find them.
My parents at at Tony's last week and from the time they put their name in (no ADRs) to the time they left the restaurant it was 35 minutes. My dad said the food was out in under 5 minutes after ordering.
We also watched Spectro on Friday night and IMHO we had one of the best places to see it. We sat in Liberty Square right outside the Hall of Presidents. It was a great place to watch. You could see it just as it came over the bridge from Main Street.
